Does anyone know of any other shows that created scenes only for opening credits? Meaning that the scenes you saw in the opening credits were never seen in a episode just the opening credits. I know 3 shows that have done this.

If any HD fans reply, the scene when Al drops a plate of french fries on Richie, Ralph, and Potsie in the opening credits was never part of any HD episode

Full House. None of the scenes in the opening credits were ever shown in episodes.

Boy Meets World, the opening scenes for Seasons 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7 were not in the show. Some of the stuff in the Seasons 1 and 4 openers were though :)

The Brady Bunch - there were nine TV-shaped photographs of the actors and actresses with light blue backgrounds

Perfect Strangers - several scenes, including the one outside of Wrigley Field with the cousins running across the street

The Wonder Years - there were lots of videos "looking back" in the opening sequences that did not belong to any episode (Winnie driving the blue car in the last season or two, for example)

Yeah Seasons 5, 6 and 7 were. Season 4 could be considered that too, cause they were in a car :)

Isn't there a scene from the opening credits of Full House where DJ is lying on her bed talking on the phone???

As for the main question:

The Donna Reed Show (Donna answering the phone, standing by the door handing lunches and books to her kids)

Leave It to Beaver (same sort of thing, plus Ward and June waking up the boys, the family doing yard work, etc.)

Father Knows Best (the kids standing on the stairs giggling while the parents kiss)

I am. I'm talking about scenes inside the house that was never in a episode. Example, in the Happy Days Opening Credits, Al drops a plate of French Fries on Richie and Ralph inside the hangout-"Arnolds" but it was never seen in a HD episode.

Well, why does it need to be inside the house? Full House and Boy Meets World both had scenes just for opening credits, but they were outside.

Because most episodes don;t take place outside. That's why all of Jackhammer examples dealt with scenes inside the bundy house.

Full House was outside, but some scenes were inside. The scenes inside werent used for episodes, so FH should still count

Are you sure that's not in any episode? I saw every episode but it's been so long, I can't say for certain but I think that scene is from a year 5 episode. I thought all those scenes in the openings in years 5 and 6 were from episodes, though I'm not sure of Thelma's credit in year 6 where she's sitting on the sofa and now has a straight shoulder length hairdo. That one looks like she was just posing for the main titles.

On an unrelated note, I found it interesting that in year 5 the 2 scenes that correspond to Ralph Carter's credit show him with his back to the camera in both scenes. Also the credits for Ja'net Dubios show her barging into the Evans' home in her various outfits/hairstyles (I guess she had her own keys).

Well i knew that scene was only made for the opening because I saw the UNCUT ep last week and there was no such scene. PLus it two different scenes with them walking arond the sofa. One scene has J.J, willona, thelma and Michael walking around the couch, and the other scene has (Penny), J.J, willona, thelma, and Michael walking around the couch.

Yes it's no longer valid. Scenes inside the Sitcom Home only. If someone was driving a car we already know for a fact that it was a scene ONLY for the opeing credits.

I guess i could have used ON THE SET but i didn't i needed to. Once again, Jackhammer knew what i meant when i said INSIDE.

Well I understood you all along -- but was just going word-for-word.

Anyways.... Family Matters had some scenes done in the house not used for anything but the credits.
