better in the ratings than the

Jeffersons, Good Times, and What's Happening every season except for the last season. I was shocked to find this out

1975-76 season
WBK-#18
Jeffersons-#21
Good Times-#24

1976-1977 season
WBK-#13
Jeffersons-24
What's Happening-#25
Good Times-#26

1977-78 season
WBK-#26
Jeffersons-not in top 30
What's Happening-#41
Good Times-not in top 30

It's a shame after 3 strong seasons, the show fell apart.

I think the reason why Welcome Back, Kotter did very well in the ratings was because John Travolta had a very large fan base in the mid-to late 1970's; and when Travolta left the show, the ratings fell...

Yup i think that may have been the reason. Especially since the show wasn't in the top 30 in the last season.

They should've just ended it when Travolta left.

There is one ep I want to see from season 4 and that is Washington's Clone. In that ep it was said that a younger guy was imitating Freddie Boom Boom
