Alright so awhile ago I asked if I could post a story about Kate and another woman. Only 2 replies, but both said go for it, so I am. I hope not to offend anyone, you are a wonderful group of writers.

So here I go. This starts in 1975, a little preface to the real story.

It was April of 1975, a young Kaitlyn McCafferty sat crying on a couch in a small apartment. She was talking to a another woman, a beautiful young dark haired woman named Sonny.
Kate," Sonny you can't keep saying that you're doing this for me if you won't even consider taking me with you. I mean my god, we've been together since we were 15 years old! And you're just going to dissappear from my life, into witness protection, I don't think so!! Carlos killed my best friend, Sonny and if your turning states evidance against him I shouldn't have to lose you to, I should come with you." Sonny," Katie! Stop, I am not going to let my crazy friends put you in danger anymore! I grew up with Carlos, I can handle him. But, I will not take you away from your family and friends and your whole life because of him. You deserve a woderful life Katie, you shouldn't have to hide and run. And we both know that even from prison he will come after me. I won't be safe until he's dead. And I won't let his way of life ruin yours. Not anymore. For 10 years Katie, you've put up with his **** just to be with me. And you know how much I love you, but I may not make it out of this alive. And if it's the last thing I do, you will be safe." The two woman both started cying again, holding each other and sobing. Kate new there was no way she could go with Sonny, but she also didn't know how to go on without her.
The next day at 9 am, an FBI agent came to pick Sonny up. The two woman agian cried, and kissed each other goodbye. Thinking they would never see each other again.


Present Day- 2004
An older Kaitlyn McCafferty sits across from Louis at a very nice resturant. They are smiling and laughing. Celebrating their anniversary, They have been back together for 1 year now.
Katie-Ann left for L.A at the begining of the week, and they were both having a very hard time with it, they had decided to consentrate on thier relationship and stop fighting so much.
The dinner was avery nice, Kate noticed that they made small talk almost like strangers. This botherd her and she decided to ask him about it," Louis, have you noticed that we've been kind of drifting apart, I mean we don't talk anymore, at all. This is the first time in weeks we've sat down to a meal together and we sound like strangers talking to each other. Why is that?"
Louis looked down at his hands as he spoke," I wanted tonight to be nice, I didn't want to talk about it. But, you should know, I still don't agree with you letting Jill take the baby to L.A. She should have stayed with us. Thats why I'm backing away a little."
As they continued to talk about things Louis did a very good job of convincing Kate that he was getting over it. That he would let it go. They went home together happily, Kate had had a few drinks and was in no mood to fight so she let the subject of Katie-Ann go.
When they got home, Louis kissed her just inside the door. Even puching her a little into the door to close it and keep her in an embrace. Finally pulling back he wispered in her ear," Make love to me Kate, It has been to long. I want you." Kate smiled up at him and took his hand, leading him to the stairs. He followed her into the bedroom and she pushed him a little this time, onto the bed. Kate crawled ontop of him, a leg on either side of his lap, she pressed herself against him and said," I agree, to long. (she nibbled at his ear) I want you to. All night long Louis, think you can keep up?" She raised an eyebrow, and just as quikly, Louis pulled her underneath him.
They made love for most of the night. not knowing that Sonny was on her way to town . :D

It was late Sunday morning when Kate woke up, she rolled over to find Louis gone. As she got out of bed and put on a robe she hear Louis voice downstairs but he wasn't alone there was another mans voice she didn't recognize.
She started to walk down the stairs and stopped half way down to listen. Louis," Listen I'm paying you enough that you should be able to find a way to get that baby out of L.A and back with me where she belongs!" Kate waited for the other mans reply," Louis, your ex-wife had custody free and clear, she decided to let the baby go, no amount of money is going to change that. Kate made an arrangment with this Jill woman and you can't change that. There is nothing you can do."
Kate emerged from the stairs and started speaking," That's right Louis, there is nothing you can do! (she exteneds her hand to the other man) Hi I'm Kate McCafferty, and I would thank you to please get out of my home." "I'm Brian Smith, nice to meet you, I'm leaving now" He walked to the door and let himself out.
Kate turned her attention to Louis," What the hell is the matter with you? Your not even man enough to come to me about this, you hire a lawyer! How dare you. Katie-Ann is only going to be with Jill for the summer and you can't even let that happen, Jill is more of a mother to that child than Amanda has ever been and they deserve time together! And one more thing you spineless little man, Katie-Ann is MY responsibility not yours! I decide whats best for her, not you!!"
She did not wait for him to respond, she turned around and stomped back up the stairs.
Louis stormed out of the house, and Kate pent the rest of the day cleaning .(to get out the frustration)
Louis came home later that night, with red roses.
Kate was in the living room, watching a movie, she threw a glance in his direction saying," Your back."
He came closer to her,"I'm back with my tail between my legs. Your right Kate, I am not the one that decides whats best Katie-Ann. You raised Amanda by yourself and I have no right to think I know better than you now when I never have befor. Please forgive me." Kate took the roses from his hands and said," I'll keep you around for awhile, but Louis, if you ever try to undercut me again like you did today, I will not forgive you and I will kixk you out of my home." She got up from the couch and tosed the roses to the coffee table and walked upstairs alone, shutting the bedroom door behind her. Louis slept on the couch that night and Kate left for work in the morning without waking him up to say good bye.

3 blocks away from The Division, Sonny was buying herself a nice little loft. She wanted to have somewhere to take Kate to talk to her and was planning on being around for awhile so instead of a hotel she bought a beautifull loft. The last 25 years had been quite good to her. Even in witness protection she had a website that sold her paintings and had made a lot of money doing it. She had around 30 paintings of Kate that she had deliverd to the loft and already had furniture on the way as well. She couldn't belive how quikly things were coming together, she wanted to be all set up befor she went to see Kate. When Carlos died and she was released from witness protection, she had asked for the FBI to find Kate for her, and was givin a file folder with Kates hole life in it. At first she thought it wasn't fair that she got to know all about Kate and Kate still thought she was dead, but then could not resist reading it. Sonny could not belive that not only had Kate become cop but now she was a captain. And a child Kate, had a child. Sonny coulnd't wait to see Katie again, to hug her and tell her it was all going to be ok again.
And today was the day. This afternoon Sonny would go to the Division and see Katie.

If you haven't noticed Sonny calls Kate "Katie" just a little fun for me, I love it when people call her Katie. She does not however.

Kate was going about her day as usual, directing her inspectors
and staying in the office. Just a few blocks away Sonny was getting ready to go see her. She took great pride in getting herself ready, she wore a black dress not to dressy she was going to the police station. She curled her long black hair, and left it falling around her face, then she put on a small silver locket holding in it two small pictures of her and Katie together, Katie had givin it to her the day she left. And she thought it only right to ware the day she came back to. Taking one more look at herself and around her new home, Sonny left on her way to the station.


Kate was in her office doing paperwork, Stacy was at her desk taking the third meesage that day from Louis, the Captain had told her to hold all calls.Satcy put down the phone and saw a woman walk through the double doors and place herself infront of Stacy. " Hi I'm looking for Kaitlyn McCafferty, is she here?"
Stacy noticed that this woman was looking around, like she was nervous ," May I have your name please?And what is this regarding?" Sonny looked down and replied," I'm an old friend of your captains and would like to surprise her." Stacy showed Sonny to an interrogation room and asked her to wait. Stacy wasn't going to let some woman that woulnd't give her name just walk into the captains office.
Stacy nocked on the captains door and was motioned inside," Captain, there is a woman here that wants to see you but, she won't give me her name so I put her in an interrogation room what should I do with her?" Kate," Why won't she give her name?" Stacy," She said that she's an old friend of yours and wants to surprise you." Kate asked what the woman looked like and as Stacy began to give her a detailed descrption, Kates eyes fell to the floor with hope. She stood up and walked past Stacy without a word.
As Kate approached the interrogation room door she was telling herself, it wouldn't be Sonny, it couldn't be Sonny. Kate put her hand on the door knob and took a deep breath as she turned the handel.
When she opened the door, there was Sonny. Standing by the window, looking right at her. Kate took a step inside. Sonny,"Katie
I, I, don't know what to say. Hi I guess." Tears fell down Kates checks and she ran into Sonny's arms. Finally she pulled back and spoke,"Sonny, it can't be you. Are you real?" " I am baby, I'm real and I'm back.He's gone Katie, Carlos is dead.So I'm free." Kate realized that Stacy among others, were watching this scene and walked over to the door, shutting it. When she turned around she was almost surprised to see Sonny still standing there, she still wasn't sure this was all real. And she told Sonny this," Sonny I don't understand, when I became a Captain I contacted the FBI.
They told me you had died. It took me along time to give up on you, and now here you are. Looking so very alive, and beautifull. What happened, it's been 25 years Sonny." Kate sat herself at the table and wiped the tears from her face, Sonny scooted the other chair closer to Kate and sat down putting her hand on Kates knee. Sonny," Katie, when you were asking about me, the FBI told you I was dead because they were told by me that you could never be brought back into this. I never thought they would tell you I was dead, I just thought they would say all information was clasified. When I found out that you had contacted them and were told I was dead, I blew up. Truth be told I broke my handlers jaw. He had no right to do that to you." Kate laughed a little at that," Same old Sonny." Sonny shook her head and placed a hand on either side of Kates face and leaned in to place a small kiss on her lips," I'm sorry I know your involved with someone but I'v been waiting 25 years to kiss you again. Painting your beautifull face over and over again. Dreaming of you" Kate leaned in and kissed her back," Sonny I'v been waiting 25 years to.(she stood up, holding Sonnys hand) Lets get out of here, go somewhere quiet where we can talk." As they moved to the door Sonny said," Katie, I got into town yesterday and um, well, I have somewhere we can go. I have a loft just a few blockes away.(Kate raises an eyebrow) I wanted to be close to you."

The two woman walk out of the interrogation room together and Kate tells Stacy she's taking the rest of the day off. When they get outside, Sonny shows Kate to her car and they leave to go see Sonnys loft.

Kate and Sonny sat at Sonny's dinning room table holding hands. Sonny," So, you went and became a cop? I was a little surprised to hear that." Kate smiled," Yes, I'm not just a cop, I'm a really good cop. Have been for about 17 years now. What have you been doing with yourself?" Sonny stood up taking Kates hand and said," I'll show you Katie." They entered a large room and when Sonny flipped the light switch on Kates breath was taken away. In front of her there were four walls covered with paintings of herself. Kate," This is incredible. How many are there?" Sonny,"There are 31, some as I'm sure you can tell, were fits of rage in the middle of the night, after waking up from another dream about you. Not being able to reach out to you made me angery so I'd go into my studio and spend 6 or 7 hours painting you. It was how I reminded myself I had to go on. It reminded me that you were out there somewhere safe, living a full life. And all I had to do was stick it out and eventually I would be able to reach out to you.You know me, a little stalker like." The two women smiled at each other and Kate held her hand out to Sonny who took it. Kate," You seem to be the exact woman you were all those years ago." Kate planted small kiss on Sonny's lips. Sonny," Aren't you Katie?" Kate pulled away a little, shaking
her head no ," No Sonny I'm not. I ... I , after you left I split apart. I was so weak and I depended on you so much that with out you I was lost. I completly broke down. And about a year later when I finally came out of it, I decided that I would never be that weak scared little girl that couldn'd live without you again. I changed Sonny. I forced myself to be tough as nails and put up a wall around myself that I haven't let down to this day.(Kate was crying and yelling slightly)" Sonny came a little closer to Kate and when she put her hand on Kate's arm, she pulled it away. Sonny," I am so sorry baby." Both of them were crying now. Kate," I know that you had to go. When I became a cop I looked into Carlos history and you had lied to me. He was a sick sadistic son of a b*^!&. Sonny by the time you went into witness protection, he had already killed 18 people. You didn't tell me it was that serious. I had no idea what you were running from. I wouldn't have been so angry at you if you'd told me." Sonny," Katie, your aloud to be angry with me, I walked out on you!"
Kate grabbed Sonny by the neck and kissed her. It was a lasting passionate kiss this time. They kissed for a long while.
When Kate finnally pulled back she kept her hands on Sonny's hips and said," I don't want to fight, I just want to revel in having you back. I'm sorry I picked a fight." Kate then leaned in and kissed her again. Sonny," Don't be sorry for anything Katie. You can pick a fight with me any time, as long as you get out all the hurt feelings and years of supressing it. Well, and if you kiss me like that after we fight." The two women kissed for awhile more.

Kate told Sonny that she had to go home and tell Louis about her. It would be the next day befor she would be back But she was planning on taking the day off to spend time together. Get to know each other again. They shared one more goodbye kiss, and Kate left to go tell Louis.

Hay everone. I know that like nobody is reading this so to be honest, I didn't feel bad not updating while away for the week.
But I am hoping all you Louis haters will enjoy this next part.

When Kate got home, she sat in her car for awhile dreading having to tell Louis the truth. She had told him the story of Sonny but, with one major lie right smack dab in the middle, Kate had said Sonny was a man. She had no idea how Louis would react to this revelation, but his personality and track record said he would not be forgiving or understanding.
She finally got out of the car and proceeded inside. He was standing at the dinning room table, he looked like he was already ready to pick a fight.
She was surprised when he spoke, " Hay honey long day?" He moved closer and kissed her sweetly. " Yes actually very long day." He pulled a chair out for her and when she looked down she saw their was dinner on the table, he never cooked. Louis," Well, I made dinner for you and was hoping we could have a talk."
Kate raised an eyebrow," About what? You look a little angry."
Louis," No not now lets eat befor it gets cold." Kate " Alright but I think I'm going to run upstairs and take a quik shower first."
When she got up from the table he stood up aswell, grabbing her by the arm,"I new it Kate, you want to run upstairs and wash away the smell of another man don't you! I new you were having
an afair, aren't you ?!" Kate pulled her arm away aggressively," No Louis I'm not!!! YET!" as she turned away from him, he again grabbed her arm " Tell me Kate who is it! You wouldn't take my calls all day and then when I went down to the division, Stacy said you had taken the rest of the day of and arranged for someone to cover for you tomarrow! Who were you with?" Kate did not take kindly to him man handleing her, she shoved him in the chest to get him to back off saying,"Sonny Louis, I was with Sonny all day and it killed me to walk out the door and come home to you! Do you remember that name Louis?" "of corse I do, I thought he was dead. What the hell are you talking about?" Kate," Sit down Louis! I'm going to teach you a little something about me that you have obviously forgotten. You put your damn hands on me like that again and I'll break you damn nose, I think you remember what happened when you threw me up against that wall and I broke you jaw! You do not push me around or man haddle me!! In regards to Sonny I thought SHE was dead to,
that's right Louis I lied to you. Theres a shocker! Sonny is and has always been a woman, THE woman that I love!"
Louis stood looking her right in the eye," YOU Bi!@&!!! How dare you! I gotta say one thing Kate, and that's that you sure dont screw like a dyke!!" Without thinking, she hit him. Right across the face, with an open hand. Louis was seeing red, he wasn't thinking either. He pushed her up against the wall and started kissing and bitting her neck, Kate in turn pushed herself up and pulled his hair while scratching at his chest and moaning in his ear. He then went to her mouth with his and kissed her aggresively, she was bitting now to, pulling at his lips with her teeth.
He picked her up and slamed her down onto the dinning room table, pushing aside the dinner. As she yanked at his pants, he bit down on her ear and she responded by sqeezing his behind and saying," Do it Louis, f*#@ me. Hard, I want it hard and rough." He didn't take notice of the fact that she already had tears in her eyes. He pulled her pants off and plunged inside of her, both of them let out a scream as each got more and more aggresive. Hair pulling, bitting, a little slap here and there. They were beating each other up and both screamed out in pleasure together. When it was over, she kissed him on the lips sweetly saying," I'm so sorry Louis, but you know that was goodbye. We're done and we have been for a long time." She gently pushed him off of her and got up, putting her clothes back on.
Louis did the same and finally said, " You really are a cold hearted bi!@& you know that Kate."
He walked out the door slaming it behind him.
Kate spent the rest of the night in the shower, trying to process her day. First the shock of Sonny showing up and then what had taken place with Louis.
She did not sleep most of the night she finally fell into a dreamland around 3 a.m.

When Kate woke up the next morning her eyes were still red and puffy from crying the night befor. She was still in a state of shock. She slowly took a hot shower and got dressed for the day.
She had told Sonny they could meet at 11 for lunch at her place.
Kate had no idea what to expect, but using her power within the department she would find out.
Kate sat down at the dinning room table with a phone number in her hand, she would get her answers. She called an FBI agent named Don Page, when they had worked together he had taken quiet a liking to her and told her to call if she ever needed anything.
Kate wanted information on where Sonny had been all this time.
She didn't expect to hear what Sonny had been through.
Don faxed a report to Kate that was ment to help her understand. 5 years ago when Carlos was released from prison he wasted no time at all finding Sonny. She was missing for 11
months, and only lived to tell her tail because when she got the chance, Sonny killed Carlos. The report had graphic detail about what Sonny had been through, and Kate found herself again crying wondering how Sonny had survived.On the final page of the report, Kate read how Sonny got the upper hand on Carlos.
He had untied her to take her with him on a road trip, he told Sonny that they were going to San Fransisco to kill Kate. He said he new that would be the ultimate punishment for Sonny, after all these years to still have to watch him kill Kate. When he tried to put Sonny in the trunk of a car, she got away, and picked up the knife he had on her and turned it on him.
Kate didn't know what to do with all this information. She couldn't belive that after all these years the thought of Sonny in danger made her so scared. Also after all the years the thought of being with Sonny still gave her butterflies in her stomach.
She somehow felt 25 again, in one minute she was back in love with Sonny. She felt like she was in a time warp. It was strange,
but exciting and romantic at the same time.After re-aplying her make up, Kate left, on her way to see Sonny.

OK I know that was boring. And I seem to be having a problem with violence this week. I don't know why that is.
Anyway, no more violent sex, or scary bad guy/Sonny stuff.
I'm done with that stuff.

Kate arrived at Sonny's at 10 till 11 and was greeted by a flower covered Sonny at the door," What happened to you Sonny?" Sonny used a hand towel to get the flower off of her face and replied,"Well, I was trying to make that chicken dinner
you used to love and when I opened the bag of flower, the crap went everywhere!! Long story short, I made the chicken parma
you love but now have to take a shower befor I can sit and eat."
Kate was laughing at this and covered her mouth with her hand, Sonny then took a flower covered hand and moved Kates hand saying,"Katie, I love your laugh don't cover it up." "Even if I'm laughing AT you?" Sonny moved closer and replied," Espiecialy if your laughing at me, then your mouth turns up with a smirk."
Kate smiled and inched closer to Sonny, placing a small kiss on her lips. " You should go get cleaned up" And Sonny dissapeard into the bathroom. Kate took this oportunity to go back into the room that had all of Sonny's piantings in it.
She still couldn't belive it. It was like a shrine to her, each picture differant but with the same love in it. Kate was standing next to a painting that she particularly enjoyed. In this painting , Kate was
sitting on the beach with a bright pink sunset behind her, what she liked the most was that Sonny had made her hair long, very long and Kate found herself thinking she would let her hair grow
until it was long like that, she loved the way it looked in the painting. Just then Sonny appeard behind Kate, and wraped her arms around her. Sonny," This is one of my favorites to, I finally got the sun right on your face, it doesn't look as natural in other ones." Kate turned in Sonny's arms to face her and said," I want you Sonny, I want you so badly, and I'm affraid that if we move to fast we'll lose each other again." Sonny kissed Kate and replied," We don't need to rush into anything Katie, I'm not going anywhere and I no that your still seeing your ex so I won't push you either, just know that I'm here. If you want to spend the night, we don't have to make love, I would be just as satisfaied if we just held each other all night long. You know that." Kate smiled and replied," I do know that, but I'm not seeing Louis my ex anymore, I ended it last night, so that I'd be free for you to sweep me off my feet again, like when we were young."
The two women kissed for a few minutes and then went on to eat lunch. They spent the afternoon talking and drinking wine. They cought up with everything. Sonny was very interested in the fact that Kate had a daughter, she wanted to know everything about her pregnancy and labor, everything.
