You have an hour to change the name of a thread, and only the moderators can change it after that. and they wouldn't ban you for it unless you did something really offensive.

Actually I recently tried to edit the title of a thread I made without selecting "Edit Thread" from the Admin Options and it didn't do it. I'll ask Todd to look into it.

For what it's worth, I think that if we are allowed to edit posts forever, then we should be allowed to edit thread titles.

Those thread are all just child's play. The true greats were threads like "Nancy McKeon Can't Act" and "Images are not allowed in signatures," as well as basically any topic Nate has made on this board.

I hate that too. It used to drive me up a wall back when the politics board was around and I would create a poll and make a mistake, I couldn't do anything about it. :wallbang

If that wasn't put in, people wouldn't know that their posts have been edited by a moderator or administrator. That's why TJ and PB changed it so that when they edit people's posts, it will be seen. Before December the "Last edited by" thing wasn't seen when they edited posts.

it's annoying as hell nevertheless. in that case it should only be seen when moderators edit them.

then they should just be able to edit the options and title. if they take advantage of it and switch around the options then oh well because there arent any serious polls here anyway. chad used to ability to edit thread titles for his prank and we're all still standing.
