"these are great times we're livin' in hah? it no longer takes two to tango".

a woman gets letters from a man she doesn't know. she wants him to stop when he treatens her husband's life. dave and maddie track him down to tell him to stop. the woman is killed. then the man commits suicide.
least until dave realizes the husband killed them both. great chase scene through the post office.

curits armstrong finally arrives at herbert viloa. the show is getting better now.
loved the theme at the end when agnes and bert were at the elevator. great variation of the song.

loved the part where maddie storms into dave's office acting like him. then, BA-BING, he reacts to her the way she usally does him. he is in shock that maddie is acting like him and then he acts like her.

rating: 7

That was great!!
I LMAO when I saw that scene when they "do" each other!

Great to see Maddie say BA-BING!!

Loved this one too and it shows a little about what happens when you're on eachothers 'case' all day!

Favorite scenes in this one.... the wait wait wait in the Post Office...funny lines and expressions between the two of them and then the anyting but funny encounter with poor Mr. Macy and how each Maddie and David react to the realization that the man is disabled... look at their faces and eyes as to how badly they feel about having to confront him over the letters.

And then the sexy little coda with each attempting to write the other a secret admirer type letter.

i'm still watching this with my group date.

this is the first episode where i thought the mystery was better than the david and maddie parts.

it was also about the receptionist falling in love.

every single man on my group date 'saw' bruce willis. when david was singing 'shake, rattle and roll' as he was comming down the hall-he quickly reached out and touched the hair of one of the female employees standing in the hall. this grew to a line of thinking that willis was probably having an affair with her, or wanted and affair with her. we all were distracted by this.

what was really funny was maddie doing david. but while it was funny, what is a former model doing suggesting that a woman write her stalker? did not make sense.

the mystery was pretty good though.
i loved the david and maddie part where they were waiting in the post office.

Cybill thought the same thing

Ahhh.....but they have just learned that what they thought was a stalker is only a poor, disabled man writing love letters, a gentle man whom they just frightened. After meeting the letter writer, Maddie sees this and that is when she mentions that idea. Certainly not before.

Not stalker like at all...and as the resolution to this episode plays out...he is not dangerous at all, and has done the letter writing at the request of the woman's husband. So Maddie's "female intuition" about this man was correct after all. The man was not the stalker type nor was he dangerous.

My favorite scene is in the car where Maddie asks David, "What happened to the rules? You meet someone, you flirt with them a little..." She's obviously talking about her and David and how their relationship hasn't followed the 'rules' for dating as she knows them. I also love the difference between Maddie and Agnes, who jumps Bert the minute she lays eyes on him. This begins the parallel between the two relationships that continues through the rest of the series.

Right you are cybr about the two dichotomous relationships. This is one very important aspect that Bert and Agnes contribute to ML...their relationship is a foil to that of Maddie and David's.

And how different the two men and the two women are to each other!

These were my favourite parts of the episode too but I was still a little disappointed in this one. I tuned in feeling tired and a little sad and I still felt the same at the end. Moonlighting usually makes me laugh, cry or get angry but nothing in this episode really triggered much emotion :(
