I personally think that Meredith was not a good fit for Family Ties. She is not a sitcom actress. The biggest thing about her acting on the show it seems like she was shouting out her lines. The writers should had mae Elyse a little more interesting of a character.

I thought that Meredith's acting was pretty good for Family Ties. Though, I haven't seen too much of her other work. I saw one of her films on the WTN once, but I forget the title of the film.
