The Fall TV lineups for the Canadian classic TV networks PRIME and DejaView have just been announced and you can find them right here. Note that both channels are only available in Canada and both are owned by the CanWest company which also owns Global Tv in Canada. PRIME is available as a regular cable specialty cable channel which airs all over Canada while DejaView can only be seen with a digital cable receiver which costs extra. Both channels will sometimes share certain shows as you may notive while searching the schedules. Here they are:

DejaView:

A pretty good morning and afternoon block featuring "Dick Van Dyke", "Gilligan's Island", "Hogan's Heroes", and "Three's Company", but there's not much else to recommend. As with PRIME, the weekend schedules are better.

This schedule is similar to what they had a couple of months ago and I like it a little better than what they have now. A nice bonus will be having "Petticoat Junction" back on Sunday mornings. The one sore spot will be having "The Golden Girls" on at noon instead of "Three's Company" or even "Dick Van Dyke" which is now gone, otherwise I can live with it.

The changes will take effect on Monday, August 2nd.

They've completely cut Roseanne out!!!

I used to love it when I first got cable in the fall of 2002. Roseanne for an hour an Prime at 3pm AST, then 3 more episodes on TBS. Then it got cut back to 1 episode, then TBA dropped it, and now Prime is following suit,

Gee, it sure does suck to live in Canada and not be able to get N@N!

Not really, db!

I checked out Nick at Nite's schedule and as far as I'm concerned, they can keep it! "The Cosby Show" and "Cheers" are both available on Canadian channels and "Full House", "Wings", and "Roseanne" are shows I don't mind doing without. A much fairer comparison would be between TV Land, which has many 50s and 60s shows that I love, and TV Land Canada, which also has some good stuff on it and may even be better. I'll post their fall 2004 schedule on here later this month.

The only show I would watch on N@N is Roseanne, it's really the only sitcom that interests me (besides The Simspsons). It was actually the only reason why I was going to get cable when I move to Ontario this fall!

Hopefully the Detroit stations reach London....

Db, I'm not sure but I believe TBS also carries "Roseanne" and you can watch that in Canada as well. I hope that makes you feel better.
