Which mid 70's R&B Orchestra song do you like better? "Love's Theme" by Love Unlimited Orchestra or "Fly Robin Fly" by Silver Connection?
Both songs are two of my favorites. I loved both songs use of mixing R&B and Orchestra. Some refer to it as early disco. Which song do you like better?

I like Love's Theme better. It has a more sophisticated vibe to it than Fly Robin Fly which seems more dated. I like that orchestral meets r&b/dance thing though. Two more I personally like are The Hustle by Van McCoy and TSOP from MFSB. All 4 singles were mid70s charttoppers.
These records all have the violins, flutes, big drums, instruments that are very rare on the current top 40 hits.

"Love's Theme" was one of the best instrumental songs ever back in 1974 and it was #1 by Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra. I've never heard another version by other instrumentalists like Ferrante & Teicher, Percy Faith and Arthur Fiedler & the Boston Pops Orchestra. They did the same version as the original does.

Fly Robin Fly is too repetitive. JMO.
