Also, you may already know that twin sisters-Erin & Diane Murphy-played Tabitha. But, that was just in the 2nd season (Tabithas first). From seasons 3-8 Erin played her, because they felt she looked more like Liz Montgomery.

Yes, I learned this on the E! True Hollywood story, I believe. They said that Agnes abruptly got up and made the statement "I don't like changes".

This was also due to the fact that Erin and Diane were fratenal twins, but no one realized until they were two or three. This is also why producers decided to use Diane for the long-distance shots, and Erin for the close-ups.

you probebly heard that Agnes Moorehead said that on the same show that I did. It wasn't the "E! True Hollywood Story" (I've seen the one about "Bewitched 3 times). It was "Entertainment this week".


Also, what are "fraternal twins"?

fraternal twins are twins that do not look alike at all. Like Robin and the Late Maurice Gibb.

Diane Murphy played Tabitha in seasons 3, 4 and 5 but not as much as Erin. I think her appearances were minimal past season 3. In season 2, two sets of twins and another baby in the birth episode played Tabitha. I think Diane appears in a few later episodes as a party guest and a doll.

I read in Agnes Moorehead's biography that she didn't like DS much at first, but they later got along. When she became ill and missed a couple of shows, he even sent her a dozen roses and a get-well card. :D

As for the twins, Erin and Diane didn't look much alike as kids and look NOTHING alike today, from recent pictures I've seen. Like the above posts mention, Robin and Maurice Gibb were fraternal and didn't look alike. Maurice looked much more like older brother Barry, in my opinion. I do believe David and Greg Lawrence (Adam) were identical twins, however. Does anyone know for sure?
