Seal's first 2 albums were called "Seal" which is the weirdest thing. Aretha Franklin had 2 albums called "Aretha" on Arista records, one in 1980 the other in 1986.

Also, Fleetwood Mac had two self-titled albums - their 1967 debut, and their 1975 album (their eleventh, and their first LP with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham).

The Black Album, Metallica (I don't know the date)

(Note: Although called the Black Album for its backdrop, Elton John's second album from 1970 was officially self-titled.)

That was also the case with the Metallica album. The actual title for their 1991 album is Metallica. It is referred to as "The Black Album" probably for the same reason that the Beatles self-titled 1968 double album (with an all-white cover) is referred to as "The White Album."

And now, back to the subject at hand.

Wildflowers - Tom Petty, 1994
Wildflower - Sheryl Crow, 2005.

Yes, the Petty version is plural, but I'd say it's close enough.;)
