It certainly would help the cause. If enough people signed their name for wanting Small Wonder to be released on DVD then maybe Shout! could reconsider their decision not to release SW DVDs at this time.

I noticed that too. :confused: Either two people must've changed their minds about wanting the show on DVD, or someone was creating multiple accounts on tvshowsondvd.com, and voting for the show more than once. If you do that, your extra votes are erased, and if it happens enough, the show gets suspended from the site. I'm not worried about it, the show will get those votes back in no time. :cool:

Anyway, I just signed-up to TvDvdsOnline and put in my vote for Small Wonder. But will the rights for it ever be bought??? It's such a shame it has so much red-tape.

Basically, we're saying that any show can make it out to DVD. Yes, it's true that SW does have multi-ownership, it may be released to DVD one day. We just can't give up hope. Other sitcoms have had tough times getting released to DVD, but they've eventually made it to the "promised land" and Small Wonder can, too.

Doogie Howser M.D. is coming to DVD so there might still be hope for Small Wonder.

Note that both Doogie Howser and Small Wonder are owned by Fox. Fox licensed "Doogie" to Anchor Bay, who are the ones releasing it on DVD. It would probably be a similar situation with Small Wonder, and luckally, Fox is one of the major studios that is willing to license their shows to other companies for DVD release. I can see Shout! Factory, Anchor Bay, Image, Rhino etc releasing Small Wonder, but not necessarily Fox themselves.

I'm curious about how high the show would have to get before it gets released. Given how much Fox hated the show, its going to take it probably being in the top 10 unreleased before they do something

I wish they'd start the ball rolling on the dvds... even if it's a "best of" to test the waters. :)

Given the way that Fox treats its shows and especially sitcoms when it comes to DVD releases, I think the only way we'll ever see Small Wonder on DVD is if Fox licenses it out to someone.
