Would anyone know why my movie would stop in the middle of it? would it be because i would have to get my dvd player cleaned?

Yeah, it probably needs to be cleaned and try wiping the disc

Don't put your fingers on the back side of the DVD. Or if it is a double-sided DVD, then make sure you only grab it by the outer-edge, or the little hole in the middle. Wipe it with something dry & soft, like a tissue or something. That should keep your DVD clean and healthy. :)

I bought a dvd cleaning disc. I just play it, and it cleans in about a minute. I also have dvd cleaning cloths. Maxell makes them both, and they work well.

That's a very good indicator that you should clean your player. I bought a cleaner disk at Sam Goody, along with those clothes for your disks. Use the cleaner disk after every 10 viewing hours (or around there), and you'll be good to go. :)

If you're talking about a brief pause (instead of a stop), it may be what's called a "layer change."
