notice how punky brewster and family matters both take place in chicago, and you might be wondering why none of the family matters characters cameo guest star in punky brewster or the other way around, the answers simple,remember that this show appeared 5 years before family matters first appeared.

2nd, don't get these two confused, punky brewster and family matters are in two completly different universes, they have nothing to do with each other.why is that? i'll explaine, since punky brewster was made by nbc, and not by miller boyett television,it would'nt encure in that universe, and the reason why steve urkel cameo guest starred on full house and step by step, is because those two shows were both made by miller boyett and they encure in the same universe as family matters, punky brewster however, is not in the miller boyett universe,which is why family matters characters don't cameo guest star on that show.
