I know a lot of you probably know about ABC's plans to air a new mini series of Little House on the Prairie, but I also read on movietome that if the mini series is popular they will make it into a show. That really makes me mad. I can understand the mini series, but a new show? Whenever I think of Laura and the Ingalls family it is the cast that played on the original series. I know they want to make the new version more like the real life of Laura Ingalls Wilder, and I understand that-in a movie form. The Michael Landon version of Little House was incredible, and nothing can or will be like his show. Though it didn't follow the life of the real Ingalls completly, it showed the basics and had such a great cast of actors. If ABC likes Little House so much they should air the original episodes. They probably can't do that though because it was an NBC show, but you get my point. Sorry I am kind of on a rant here.

Here is my thing about remakes. In general the original is the original, and anything after the original just never seems to cut it. I will take a look at the show, and then I will give my complete thought on it.

The one thing is that the original show is not how the books went. And... honestly, I haven't read the books. I would be more inclined to watch the show for the truth as well as to compare to the first series.


Just my two cents...

The new version is supposedly going to be much more faithful to the books than the NBC version. And, to clarify, it is not a remake of the NBC series, but a new adaptation based on the original books.
