I just read about this on the RUNHP board, and thought I'd share it here, too. There's going to be a special on Lifetime in August which will reunite great female TV sidekicks. Many of the women who are going to be there are famous faces from classic TV, such as Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams, Valerie Harper, and FRAN DRESCHER and RENEE TAYLOR!!! :D Here's the link from the Internet Movie Database: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0416246/fullcredits

Aww, can't wait to hear more about that! I hope Fran's and Renee's part is interesting! What about the show... is that an interview, will they talk about filming of their shows or will they show clips and bloopers...? Anyone ever seen that Sidekicks show? (Is it a series?) :confused:

Sorry I wasn't more clear in my original post. It's a special, so no one has seen it yet. I'm not even sure when if it's been filmed. From what I gather, each pair of sidekicks will get together to reminisce about the show they did together. I'm sure clips will be shown, too. So it'll be a lot like the TN reunion, but on a smaller scale. It should help hold us over till October, lol!

How come it's Sylvia and not Val? I mean, Val was Fran's best friend, and they did more together and got into more trouble then Fran and Sylvia did. Oh well...

A friend of mine is looking for the TV'S GREATEST SIDEKICK'S show and it seemed to be not listed on Lifetime's schedule yet! Does someone know more? Was the airing date pushed back like the one of the Nanny Reunion? I'm confused! :confused:

Two questions about TV'S GREATEST SIDEKICK'S:

1. On which TV Channel will it be shown?

2. When will it air? (Date and time of the day?)

Sure, Rill, I can help. This special WILL air on Lifetime, but I heard on one of the Golden Girls boards I visit that they've pushed it back (Surprise, surprise! ;) ) to Oct. I've seen some pics from the filming, but I don't remember seeing any of Fran and Renee. I'll check again, though, and post them here if I do find them.

Rill wasn't talking about the pics from the reunion, b/c he's seen them. These are pics from another special that's set to air on Lifetime. I just checked at the GG board where I first saw the pics, and Fran and Renee aren't in them. I wonder what that's about. Maybe their part was filmed seperately or something.

Thanks for clearing that up, Kristen! You are absolutely right! I've seen the pictures from The TN Reunion and now looking forward to find out more about the "TV Greatest Sidekicks". Can't wait to hear more about it and it's sad that Lifetime always delays the airing dates! :( Oh, well... I'll patiently wait and hope that they will broadcast it in October. ;) The Show really sounds like fun!

BTW I'm female! ;-) Rill is a screen name and I "borrowed" it from a movie named "West of the Pecos" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038241/ ) It's interesting that you think it's a male name because in the movie the protagonist disguises as a boy! lol

Well, if it's aried on Monday, the original date, then that'll give me 2 things to look forward to... the return of Days of Our Lives and this special.

I start school on Monday, and I'm NOT looking forward to it, so I'm trying to find something good on Monday to look forward to...
