i rewatched the reunion 2day(on tape) and I noticed something. did anyone else notice that they seemed to forget anything after the Eastland years of the show? they never mentioned the store(Edna's Edibles OR Over Our Heads) or really anything after Eastland.

like some people have already said, the writers probably remembered mostly the beginning of the show, or weren't very familiar w/ the show(as some of us are) to know enough about the characters...maybe?

They did remember that Blair went to law school, and that she bought Eastland. But you're right -- there were more references to the Eastland years than the later ones.

They mentioned George, the fact that Eastland is coed AND Blair used to own it. And wasn't Raymond introduced at the begining of Edna's Edibles? Other than that your right. I agree http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I thought for sure that when Tootie and Robert were walking through Peekskill that she would try and find the building where "Edna's Edibles" was. Oh well...

Yeah, so did I. The theatre thing was a total shocker. We never saw her perform in it and she rarely referred to it. I thought for sure she was going to find Edna's Edibles and Over Our Heads. Afterall, she lived the majority of her teeenage years there.

In the beginning. The conversation went something like this. (This isn't perfect but give me a break. I've started studying for finals already, infact I am still at the campus now)

Raymond: The leak in room ?? is back.
Blair: I thought Carl fixed that?
Raymond: He quit.
Blair: You're joking.
Raymond: No. LA again
Blair: Ever since George left us we have gone through 10 handymen who keep moving to LA to seek their fame and fortune.

Raymond said that Carl the handyman quited and went to L.A. Then Blair told Natalie ever since George left, they had lost 10 handymen that went to seek fame and fortune in Hollywood.

I missed it at first too. I played the tape back and my brother was the one who said "Tootie said something about SueAnn?" This was right B4 they got into the Limo to see Eastland. Natalie and Dorothy had to carry Blair and then Dorothy made the SueAnn reference.

I can understand why they didn't mention "Over Our Heads" or Edna's Edibles. They were things of the past. It would have been cool to have mentioned them though.

Did anybody else notice this...

One of the shoes that Robert shows off during the "shoe shopping" competition is the same shoe that Dorothy shakes at Donald at the beginning of the movie when he calls her sweetie.

It's a black high heeled shoe with red on the toe.

YEP, I thought that was pretty funny. Either the shoes that had to use for the contest were those they could find at the inn, or they were short on props!

Eh, I don't mean to nitpick, but everyone always says that why didn't she go to Edna's Edibles was. Well it burned down, didn't it? And about Over Our Heads, they closed it down too, right? Would it just be an empty building or maybe a new company moved into it? Sorry to bump back such an old post....

I don't think it would be an empty building because it was also a house. When they closed Over Our Heads, they turned that portion into some rooms for Pippa and Andy, so I would THINK the house would still be there somewhere.
