Do you think Laverne should have married Carmine during the final season? I thought it would have been better than what transpired. Laverne could have gone to her old stomping grounds while Carmine was doing Broadway. :idea:

Personally, I think ANY ending would have been better than the one TPTB gave us. L&S had no closure, no finale. I wish they had ended the show a season earlier (while MMK, CW, & BG were still around) and sent it out w/a bang.

We could have avoided the "Shirley marries a Mummy" plotline all together. I think it would have been great if they'd let Shirley and Carmine get together.

That being said... I do feel like they were testing the waters w/a Laverne/Carmine pairing in the last season. I often wonder how things would have worked out if the show hadn't been cancelled, and if there had been a Season 9.

Then again, that's what fanfic is for...

i never liked the idea of Carmine with Laverne at all, it would've been less ridiculous if they brought back Shirley wrapped in bandages like a mummy for the entire final season. :crazy:
