Apparently there was an earthquake here last night. I slept through it. Now I feel like I missed out on something.

I was lying on my bed during an earthquake last time it happened. I was just in my bed and I thought it was noise downstairs or somewhere, but then I flipped to the news and they were talking about the earthquake. I felt some kind of motion when it happened though.

I never even knew California had a lot of earthquakes, seriously. Someone said that on the boards a while back and I was like, what? I've lived here my whole life and the only earthquake we got was in San Jose in the late 1980's. I don't even remember it and it wasn't big. It wasn't in San Jose, but we felt it. I don't live in San Jose anymore though, I live by Sacramento.

I slept through one here in Alabama last year. It was a 4.9. It was centered about 100 miles north of here, hit about 4am in the morning. It was like a 3 here, so you probably had to be awake to feel it, but some people nearby were awakened by it. That's the strongest quake ever in this state.

When I lived in CA there was an earthquake at about 4:30 am. I thought someone was trying to wake me up.

I rushed out of my room and gathered with my housemates and we looked at each other back and forth like morons and then it stopped.

So we went back to bed.

about 3 years ago was the last one we had in Springfield, and it was like 7 in the morning. I woke up to all of my perfume bottles falling off of my dresser. I thought it was my sister, so I got up and started screaming at her before I realized the floor was shaking :o

I remember being awoken out of a dead sleep because of an earthquake. It was the weirdest wake-up call I've ever received.

I live in Wisconsin and supposedly on Sunday night there was some sort of earthquakes in the southern part where I live and also in Illinois. I can believe it because I did feel this really weird shake when I was watching TV in the living room. At the time I did not think it was an earthquake cuz we never have those in WI, I actually thought it was ghosts or spirits doing some weird thing in my house!
