I'm really confused about this

So am I. It would have made a good final season. I did not like the concept of Shirley marrying that Army surgeon dressed as a mummy, which led me to believe that the powers that be at ABC were too lazy and/or cheap to look for an actor to play the role.

Laverne, like Penny Marshall in real life, was originally from the New York City area and Carmine went there to perform in Broadway musicals, so the pairing makes sense.

Forget the above post. I misread the subject line at first and then saw SHIRLEY instead of LAVERNE. Mea culpa!!! :eek:

However, a discussion about Laverne pairing up with Carmine should be interesting. :D I'll reserve another thread for that.

What episode did they break up for good?Was it the episode where Shirley gets a wedding package that she can use only in two days?
