Is anyone hyped up for Spideman 2 coming out wednesday (june 30) I'm gonna be getting my advance tickets for it. I'm so excited. Not only does this movie look great critics are calling the best superhero movie ever. I haven't found one bad review for it yet. I'm a big spiderman fan. I saw the first one 4 times in theater total (twice opening weekend) Does anyone think this one is going to beat Spidey 1's opening records and how much it makes in total domestic gross? Any thoughts?

OMG, I can't wait. I bought tickets like a week ago, I'm so excited man. I saw the first one in the cheap theatre. It's the theatre movies go after they've done there run in big theatres and it's only $2.99 to see it. I saw it one day with my dad, and then the next day with my friend. I loved it. I've been waiting 2 years for this movie. I'm seeing it with my daddy...hehehe...we have a date ;).

Tomorrow, woohoo

I think it will make more money than the first. First, many reviewers have said it's better than the first (origin films usually aren't as interesting). Even though people who didn't like the first won't see this, the ones who did will see this- and if it is better, probably more than once. Then, there's ten times more hype, plus the Doc Ock money shot.

Yeah this film will most likely break some box office records.

But I'm not that big of a spiderman fan, but I'll still go see it.

Yep, I hope to go see it as soon as I have the money :)

I think it's going to outdo the first, and I think it will either tie with Shrek 2, or surpass it as the biggest movie of the year.

OMG

Ok, I LOVED this movie. It was AMAZING, great great sequel, but ya know, in my mind both movies scored perfect 10s. Spiderman is the best. I think Doc Ock, and the Green Goblin are both GREAT villians...but wow...

-Spoilers...sorta-

My favorite two scenes where when he saved his aunt and also the subway scene. Holy whoa the subway scene was great. The best part was when they got him on the subway and they're looking at him and they're like "He's just a kid" I'm a sucker for those kinda parts. Ah, and does anybody else get the idea that Aunt May knows that he's Spiderman? Ahhhh, I'm counting down the days till the 3rd...whenever that may be coming out.

I loved the movie. I thought it was a brilliant sequel. Although I did think it felt more like a sequel than a 'stand alone' movie. Even so you couldn't of asked for a better movie. Its very sad. I found myself crying a few times in it. I thought the bank scene & the scene with Aunt May had my on the edge of my seat and the train scene was awesome. I'm glad to see Spiderman more human showing that he does have flaws and that hes not always going to be unstoppable and all powerful. I like seeing him getting a little beat and having weaknesses. Spiderman as the first and the second one together is the best superhero movie ever made. I thought the line 'go get em tiger' was great. I got goosebumps. I thought Doc Ock was by far the best part of the movie and one of the best scenes was between Harry & Peter. Everyone go see this at least twice!

I went with a friend of mine yesterday who bought tickets like a week ago online. It was AWESOME. I enjoyed it a lot. Really intense, too.

Amazing movie. I wasn't planning on seeing it cos I don't like sequels, but I'm glad I did. I liked it a TON better than the first one. I thought it was kinda dumb though, that Doc Oc was the villian, while EVERYONE knew it was him. No one knew who the Green Goblin really was. Bah. But yeah... I adored it.

10/10.

Secret Idenities don't really make villians. That rule pretty much only follows for superheros. The thing about Doc Ock is that he was very powerful and pretty much unstoppable.

Yea, good point, but at the same time it was an interesting twist having the Green Goblin be unknown b/c nobody knew who he was and how to go after him. I dunno, in my personal opinion I think I liked the Green Goblin more. I think he was so much more sinister and evil and I think Willem (sp?) Dafoe was amazing. Granted at the same time Doc Ock was incredible too, I liked both but I liked the Green Goblin just a tiny bit more.

I do agree that Green Goblin was more evil, mainly because I think he was more insane than Doc Ock, but Doc Ock was more powerful easily. Doc Ock could have killed Green Goblin in a heartbeat. Green Goblin had more background to him because of the relationship with Harry (being his son) was stronger than Doc Ock just being an known scientist. I did like to see Peter & Doc Ock interact before he went on his killing spree because he shows more emotion & human into the character.

I saw the movie last night and loved it. It was a ton funnier than the first one and had lots more action, too. Doc Ock was a great villain.

I'm in the minority where I like sequels. But this is the best sequel ever.

I kept comparing Spider-Man (2002) to Batman (1989) and Spider-Man 2 (2004) to Batman Returns (1992). One difference I liked better was that in Batman Returns there were only three actors from the first movie back for the second. In Spider-Man almost everyone returned.

Once Michael Keaton left and got replaced by Val Kilmer, I still went to see Batman Forever. However if Tobey Maguire leaves, I will probably stop seeing the Spidey films.

Spider-man 2 was very good. However we musn't forget The Godfather 2.

That's my opinion anyway.

I finally saw it and I liked it very much. It also had some funny parts in it too. I can't wait until they have a third one. I like Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst alot too.

I saw it today. I thought it was really good but.....sort of predictable at times. Anyway, I thought it was a thousand and one times better than the first one. I agree with whatever someone said about the subway scene...that was just amazing. It had me on the edge of my seat, as did the part where Harry pulls off the mask...even though it was in the previews. The sequel was a lot more suspenseful than the first one and overall I'd give it a 9/10.
