What is your favorite song that has been sung on I Love Lucy?

Friendship sung by Ethel and Lucy! that song reminds me of my BEST FRIEND EVER and myself we are such close friends and the songs words are just what our friendship is:)

My favorite song (or at least one) is 'Cheek to Cheek':love:

I have a special fondness for Nobody Loves The Ump, mostly for the sheer enjoyment they seem to take in singing it, and because Bob Hope was great all through that episode. I like that they wind up laughing at it all, too. I also really like The Strawhat Song, and the way that Desi sings it to his little old cleaning lady down at the club.

My favorite is Lucy and Ricky's duet of Indian Love Call.

"We're Havin' A Baby, My Baby and Me" always makes me cry. "Cuban Pete" is another one of my favorites, as is "Sweet Adeline" in the barbershop quartet number. There are so many, it's hard to name them all!

My favs weren't usually on the show. Desi's instrumentals are my fav.

There were so many great songs on I Love Lucy: Friendship, Under the Bamboo Tree, Nobody Loves the Ump, The Waters of the Minnetonka, I'm an Old Cowhand, Man Smart Woman Smarter, and all of the songs from The Operetta, Mertz & Kurtz, and Lucy Goes to Scotland...I love them all, lol.

When I wrote my favorite song is Indian Love Call, I meant The Waters of the Minnetonka. I think they're two different songs. Thanks for mentioning that song in your post and jogging my brain ;)

I also enjoyed Ricky singing that with the first girl; the harmonies were great!

Not Kurt here BUT there's a CD called "Babalu Music' made by the great Weird Al Yankovic. Most of the songs from the series are there and it's awesome! I recommend E-bay to buy it since it's out of print.:)

Here's the link for the CD: I highly reccomend the video too; he did an awesome work and put 'color' into some footage and mixed the music groovily! I have both and enjoy them a lot

Yup... that's the CD I was referring to! I got it out of my local public library and burnt a copy... and the video Babalu music is awesome too!

I went to the Amazon.com link that Unmarried referred me to. The cost for the CD is $54.99!!! I paid less than that for one season set of The Dick Van Dyke Show! So...I went back to e-bay and I'm bidding on one of the VHS of Babalu Music. I'm looking forward to seeing it! Thanks for your help!

That price is a little abusive for a CD! Last time I looked it was for $19.95. When they become out of print that's what happens:( . Hope you enjoy the tape; it's the best!

The VHS tape is great... its got musical clips from the series and the beginning is this Babalu remix with COLORIZED clips! It's pretty neat! You'll enjoy it Lolac!

But $54.00 for the CD??? Thats outrageous!!! I checked for it at the Lucy-Desi Museum Gift Shop website, but it wasn't there. :-( Oh well, at least you'll still have the VHS tape!
