Both...but I think there's a difference. Natalie and Tootie seem more buddy buddy to me, and Blair and Jo...while they have more disagreements, they're there for each other.

I was going to post this same exact thing! lol Weird. Ok, well I think that Nat and Tootie are really good friends but I'm not sure if their relationship is as deep as Blair and Jo's. Nat and Toot know more about each other's families and stuff and go to each other's houses more I think. Blair and Jo aren't as good friends on the outside, but have really been through a lot together and always had to work to stay friends.

LOL about the Britney Spears. I do agree with you. Natalie's and Tootie's relationship was a lot more solid and more obvious. Jo and Blair on the other hand was much less obvious. They had a different kind of relationship. And it was a lot more shaky then Tootie's and Natalie's was...w/ all the fights and all. But it was the kind that would guarentee friendship 4eva...b/c if they could encounter as much as they had (all the fights) they would always have a special bond that would be VERY hard to break. Did that make NE sense?

YES, you wrote EXACTLY what I was trying to say!

Nat and Tootie are such obvious friends. They know every little thing about each other and each others family. They are kinda like the 'typical best friends.'

Blair and Jo don't advertise their friendship. They go at each other in public and in private as well. They seem to be the best of enemies. If you really think about it, everytime Blair confronted Jo about a problem or Jo confronted Blair, it was in private just about every time...
Blair and Jo fought alot and went through alot, but in the end that just made them stronger friends. They may not know every aspect of each others lives, but they know each others feelings and how long they can take things...
Blair and Jo have a really strong friendship that is not advertised, unlike Natalie and Tootie's where you always see them together.

KO, so I'll go back to my hole now. Sorry this was so long, I just had alot to say on the subject http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I think that Nat and Tootie have the closer "friendship". However, it is hard to compare the 2 sets because they are on different levels. Natalie and Tootie are the best of friends that have known each other a long time and know everything about each other.

Blair and Jo on the other hand have this love-hate relationship. They remind me of a family. They remind me of me and my siblings. We fight all the time, but if somebody from the outside says to one of us what the others say, we come together immediately. Even if we are fighting really bad, if something happens, the others are there immediatly. That is what Blair and Jo relationship is like to me, more of family then Nat and Tootie.

I think they are more like family because they need a family. Think about it. Blair's family is divorced. She hardely ever sees her dad so he buys her stuff. Her mom is more like a shopping partner then anything. Jo is the one person she can talk to about things. Same for Jo. Her parents are divorced. She has an okay relationship with her dad and a good relationship with her mom, but she doesn't see them that often. Blair is there when Jo needs to talk to somebody and vice versa.

So to sum it up, Nat and Tootie are the best of friends, but Blair and Jo are family.

That was like the exact same thing I was getting ready to say! Great minds think alike! Thanks for saving me from having to do all that typing, hee hee...especially since I've been basically doing nothing but typing since 2AM writing my final exam! whooo...jus taking a little break now, it's due at 5PM

About your finals comment, I think it makes you think deeper, but only for a little while. Then it's just one slow spiral into insanity! Whooooosh! (ya know that's the first tim eI've ever actaully "said" whoosh on here, despite my name.)

Natalie and Tootie have more in common with each other, love each other more, and i personally would rather have a friendship like that than Jo/Blair's. Jo/Blair have their moments but most of the time they are always putting each other down and insulting each other. I wouldn't be able to take it.

I think Jo/Blair have the more interesting relationship but as far as closeness goes Natalie/Tootie are probably closer. I could see Jo/Blair losing touch with each other in the long run before I could see Natalie/Tootie.

I think JO and BLAIR have the stronger and firmer friendship: every time they insult each other they are really saying i love you; whereas TOOTIE and NAT have the boring and quiet friendship that wouldn't last a life time.

They have a fun comforting friendship, and it's to me it's obvious they will last.

Disagree, Nat and Toot are clear best of friends from season 1 all the way to the reunion movie

Since the actresses are best of friends, it's easy to make the characters seem close too.
