buys them anymore-lol the last cassette tape i bought was in 1995. Everything is CD's now. I was surprised to still see cassette tapes in the store

Actually some do still buy them, not everyone can afford CD's, or just don't want CD's. I buy them to listen too in my car.

I still buy blank cassette tapes and still record off my tape/cd/radio recorder. People still buy them. When I go to the store sometimes I have to wait for them to get some more in. I'm not sure about the regular tapes with music on them but I still see them in the stores.

Some people don't have CD players in their car. So if they want to listen to their CDs, they have to dub them to cassette or buy a cassette.

But she tapes all her CDs to a blank tape.

The only things is that I will buy a couple of these used cassettes at flea markets and yard sales. Many of them are unblanked or probably needs to record over. I record old time radio shows on my tape. I will still copy it soon.:) I don't like these tapes that they are too new.

I still buy them. I haven't graduated to CD's yet!:crazy: It's like Vhs tapes. I have a whole library of Vhs tapes and cassette tapes . I will use them as long as I can. I have too much money invested in them to just throw them out!:D

I only buy CD's, but my dad buys Cassettes because he has an older truck that only has a tape player, not a c.d. player...

Ill only by the cassettes when theyre really cheap and stuff. My car had a tape player, but I prefer CD's so I had it installed. Plus, with CD's you can just skip the song.. cassettes you have to FF and stuff and its a pain in the ass. Plus I can never figure out which way to FF and RW when you reverse the tape playing and stuff.. :crazy:

I have a tape player and a CD player, so I buy both. But trying to sell my cassettes is hell, because most people have CD players only.:crazy:

Me, too. I have well over 300 VHS tapes and over 100 cassette tapes.
I also have maybe 80-100 record albums. Remember those... albums? :D

I dont want to willingly give up what I think is BETTER sounding/looking all around...........

In my opinion nothing beats analogue and nothing ever will.......

I hope this is still the case Penny.... They are beautiful and its a shame most have been so conditioned to like crap basically..

Gosh this is an old thread!:lol: I did graduate to CD's and DVD's a few years ago. Unfortunately my last VCR finally died so my collection of Video tapes are worthless now. I did have some of my home videos transferred to dvd so I didn't lose them. And now that I have Smart TV I watch most movies and old sitcoms on Prime, Tubi, Hulu,etc.So my extensive collection of dvd's are just sitting there on the shelf.:(I also watch a lot of Netflix shows. :)

There's nothing wrong with vinyl records and audio/video cassette tapes, I have a collection of all but I also have a collection of CD's and DVD's and enjoy those equally as much. Blu ray video disc is something that I'm not at all interested in and have no plans whatsoever to invest in that format.

I wouldn't say "no one". I think they still sell blank cassette's for recording, that comes in handy.

Ya I see them in this record store I goto.. Last week on the cassette rack there were 8 blanks for sale....... (And I see them alot at goodwill/salvation army)
