I won't be getting my Season Five set for a few days after its official release date, so I was wondering if those of you who have already gotten yours would post your thoughts on the quality and tell me all the extras on the set. I hear that there will be a lot more commentaries than on previous sets. :thanks:

I would be happy to do that! I am spending the next few days cleaning the house and doing laundry so when my set arrives, I will be able to sit down and watch it. My very favorite episode is in season 5 (Coast-to-Coast Big Mouth) so you can guess which one I will be watching first!

Coast to Coast Big Mouth is one of my favorite episodes, second only to All About Eavesdropping. CTCBM is spectacularly funny from start to finish :D I can't wait to see the unedited version again.

How did you obtain that extra information that was not located on the packaging? I think it is a shame that we will only get one more audio commentary from Rose Marie, Larry Matthews, and Ann Morgan Guilbert. After all, this is only their third commentary that they have done, while Carl Reiner and Dick Van Dyke have done 10.
I have spoken with the "Head Walnut" regarding this Don Rickles audio commentary and he has given me a very foward answer. However, I cannot post his reply until he answers my email, giving me permission.

From www.image-entertainment.com.
I, too, have had some interesting e-mail talks with Mr. Van Deusen from www.thewalnuttimes.com. Very nice guy.
Can't understand why Don Rickles would be talking about his 4th-season two-parter on a fifth-season product. Odd.

My guess would be that Don Rickles wanted to do something in regards to the season sets being produced, but either he contacted the producers, or the producers contacted him too late for the fourth season set.

David Van Deusen has cleared up a common confusion on this message board. Even though the back of the fifth season set does say "audio commentary by Don Rickles", this will not be a full episode length audio commentary. Rather, this will be very short all-new "interview" with Don Rickles reminiscing about his season four episodes.

Thanks for that info, alg. :)
Still strange, IMO, to have that on S.5 instead of the S.4 set. Oh well....
