I just saw the episode with James Cromwell as the cop that Jack punches. I hadn't realized he had been in the biz for that long. The first time I saw him was in the movie "Babe", and then later on as the corrupt police Captain in "LA Confidential".

Yeah I was watching that episode and it took me a while to realize who it was. I thought he started out in "Babe". It was pretty interesting

I remember seeing this epiode and it was funny seeing him looking young(probably about 10 yrs. older than the Kids, but that still was young)! I Love him in Babe but loved him alot in LA Confidential which also stars my favorite Guy Pearce!

I just went to check at his imdb bio (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000342/) and he also made guest appearances in other shows like Maude, Mash, All in the Family. :)

Just checked his IMDB bio and it looks like James Cromwell didn't start getting movie and TV roles till he was in his early thirties. I guess if your'e a struggling young actor in Hollywood now, it just goes to show ya, sometimes it takes a while, but with perseverance and hard work, you might just become a famous actor one day and get to work with A-list stars like Rusell Crowe and Guy Pearce :).

Isn't it kind of Ironic that James Cromwell played a sleazy cop in Three's Company, and fastforward 20 yrs. later, and he plays a corrupt police captain in L.A. Confidential! :D

That's right! I guess he just has that 'corruptible cop' kinda face :)

cromwell actually got started in theatre in new york-were he actually grew up . he goes from a pervert cop in three's comp ,to a coruptive capt in la confid- to a warden in the green mile-nice career elevation. now he's retired married to woman in the funeral home business( aka six feet under).

He's in Six Feet Under too? Man, I gotta get me HBO one of these days :)
