I second that Bobby, it's great to see so many ML fans from all over visiting this board. It keeps the show alive and I'm glad to see that its airing overseas, now if only it aired here in the US. I know the DVDs are coming, but it would be nice to be able to turn on your TV and see David & Maddie once and a while. Keep the traffic flowing!

Hi guys here's a post from Holland, I'm a a fan since 1986 when it first aired in Holland.
I have all the episodes on tape, and since a few weeks I'm totally hooked again on Maddie and Dave.
It will always be my favourite show.

I think it is so very cool to find all the international fans. I get email at DavidandMaddie.com from all kinds of places.... Brazil, Italy (a lot from Italy), Egypt, Netherlands, Canada, Israel (thank you smile), Japan, Poland, and so on.... I think it really does speak of the universality of the show and the appeal of the cast.

I hope more and more of the international fans keep coming here to post too.

Wow...that's amazing. ML was always a show that could appeal to anyone because of how many theatrical elements it incorporated into its episodes. A great show like this deserves to have fans everywhere.

and one from Denmark too ;)

Hi everyone,

I have just recently become a fan as I believe that this is only the second airing of the show here in Denmark, and I was probably not old enough during the first airing here in the late 80ies early 90ies to enjoy it. However, now it is on 4 times a week (undubbed) and I think that it is a great show. The last episode that aired here was “Sam and Dave”.

Btw. I really think that Davidandmaddie.com is an excellent site. Is it you Cindy K. who should get the kudos for that? ;)

Thank you KimmieS for your kind mention of DavidandMaddie.com I am so glad you are enjoying the site.

Yes, that one is my site....but I do have several who help out and contribute on a regular basis.

In fact you too can contribute or give me feedback on what you would like to see... let me know if there is a particular video clip or magazine article that you would like included.

BTW, I have quite a few articles from Dutch publications that if someone could translate, I could add to the site.... are you interested??

He Ck I have another request for ya....

Is it possible to put the clip in the elevator from "between a yuk and a hard place" (my favourite epi) on the site??

From the beginning till they sing "Swing low, sweet chariot".
They sing it so well!! Love that song.

DUH!! Stupid me....confusing the nationalities of you two... Kimmie said she was Danish.... for some reason I thought she was Dutch.... It is you Taz who is Dutch.

What I have are quite a few European magazines....some in Dutch, a couple Danish, some French, some Turkish, and so on.... many have just short articles or photos with captions....some are longer articles... regardless I have NO IDEA what any of them say. I couldn't even tell you if they are appropriate content for the site or if they aren't very much like something I already have posted.

To send them for translation, I will have to scan each one of them. If someone wants to attempt translations, then I'm game. You just have to give me time to get them scanned.

TAZ

I will put that down as a request and see how many requests I get for it. I have other clips also requested...and I have some special clips that are not found in the series that I think many fans have not seen and would be interested in seeing too (including the one you are sending me, right?). I will review all of these and see what I can do... There is a threshhold on just how many clips I can post based on the real audio space I have so I have to pick the stuff that either gets the most requests or is the most unusual (less people have seen before).

Personally....and I don't mean to hurt your feelings....that clip from Yuk is not one of my favorites....I consider it a lost opportunity to have done so much more with the scene and with their relationship....plus it later adds up to nothing in the direction the fifth season took.

I know you love the scene and I certainly appreciate that.

Hey Cindy, I would LOVE to translate some things for you:) Just PM me at BW.com if you need my e-mail address okay?

You're absolutely right about the show moving in the wrong direction after that scene! It was a great opportunity to make the relationship work from there on. But they didn't do anything with it.
:(

But...... the scene itself is very dramatic I think and the way David comforts Maddie is showing how much they love each other.
And Cyb's crying looks very real to me.
Its some very good acting I think, it touches me! :crying:

Anyway I'd rather see some stuff on the site that I haven't seen before so if you have that than I think that definitely has to go first!

Thanx CK

greetz Taz (oh you can send me anything to translate, you can mail it to my homemailadress, which you have already)

Yeah me too CindyK.

If needed I would also gladly take up the challenge of translating articles or whatever it might be…as long as it is in Danish and not Dutch ‘cause I would really suck at that. ;)

Ok this sounds like a plan. I will start scanning the international articles I have and send out some to each of you to translate.

If you can type back in an email what the article says in English and email it back to me reminding me what article and magazine with year and date I sent you, if I find anything new that we don't already have posted, I will include the article.

Thanks for all the volunteers...

So as I understand it

kimmie does Danish

Both Taz & Steph do Dutch...

Does anyone do French or Turkish?? LOL!

I know Kimmie, I was only kidding, I know how to count to ten in Danish but I can't write it!!
Thats why I wrote it like this.
But we Dutch can understand the Danish very well, I had Danish neighbours before and we spoke to each other in our own language, no problem.
Anyway Steph and I are the JUNIOR DUTCH D&M TRANSLATERS from now on!! LOL LOL

The JDDT's hahaha
I have to buy a scanner because I have two whole albums full of stuff from the 80's, it was so nice to look into them again!!

Ok this is great.... you can translate too. LOL! Sometimes I find things in English tabloids and magagzines that are just plain bizarre--so maybe I need a translator for that too.

Thanks for the offer!!
