"From The Desk of Carla Starke"

"From The Desk of Carla Starke" is about a woman, Carla Starke (Phylicia Rashad) in her mid-50s, working in an office building as a big executive. Carla works for an well-known advertsing agency. In the past, the agency got its big break from Carla's late husband. Carla's husband died 13 years after their wedding in 1970. Carla and her late hubby only had two children: Tony, 32 and Kevin, 33. Tony (Marlon Wayans) and Kevin (Shawn Wayans) also work at the agency. Carla, Tony, and Kevin decided to run the business, ever since Carla's hubby, Marcus died in a car crash during the 1983 Christmas season. Kevin's sarcastic secretary and love interest, Denise Anderson (Andrea Parker) and Carla don't always see eye-to-eye on some ideas, but they usually are cival towards each other. Tony's very pregnant secretary, Chelsea Adams (Christina Applegate) seems to be falling in love with Tony, who is single and is not looking for love, due to the fact he loves being a bachelor. Carla's former high school sweetheart/now love interest, Glenn Silks (Bill Cosby) is renting the apartment over Carla's Philadelphia garage has been like Carla's new best friend. Carla and Glenn during the season get closer and closer and start to date. Carla introduce Glenn to Tony and Kevin.
