That was one of the reasons I liked it. It seemed as though the Sweathogs had love for the Kotters. In real life, I could never imagine myself so much enamored with my high school teacher. Don't get me wrong, they were teachers I truly loved. But me being one of their "friends", hell no.

I guess it was because Gabe was a Sweathog himself. They could all relate to him. And he could relate with them. And the wife liked them too. Most wives would disapprove of having her husbands' students over the house all the time. Julie didn't. Not all the time that is.

Yeah, I thought it was really cool how they were there for Kotter when Julie was having the twins, Even though Vinnie was obsessing about being left back.

Very well said! The Kotters/Sweathogs were a family unto themselves.
