Is anyone planning on seeing this Wayons brothers movie? Normally, I don't like comedies when their is cross dressing. "Juwanna Man" for example was awful, but I am not sure about this movie.

I didn't say all cross dressing movies are bad, just most of them. "Tootsie" is the exception.

Don't forget Mrs. Doubtfire.

I was thinking about seeing it. I didn't see Juwana Man because it really looked stupid. This one actually looks better. The previews look funny to me, but I'm still unsure about going to see it. I know on some other boards about this movie, some people are claiming this movie is racist. I don't really see it that way from the previews. Since this movie is done by the Wayans, I'm sure there will be alot of stereotypes and gross humor.

Yes, Mrs. Doubtfire was also good.

And I agree this movie looks better than Juwanna Man. You could tell that movie was going to be bad. But being better than Juwanna Man is not much of a accomplishment. I might go see this movie, because of the two younger Wayans brothers, and I know can be funny. (not as funny as the two older Wayans brothers)

And this movie is not just cross dressing, I don't know how to say it, but it is also race cross dressing.

Two african americans dressing up as two white people. It was funny when Eddie Murphy dressed up as a white guy in a short film on Saturday Night Live when he came back to host in December 1984. Or whenever Dave Chappelle dresses up as a white person on Chappelle's show.

When I first saw the trailer for "White Chicks" the first thing that came to mind was the 70s movie, "Watermelon Man" with Godfrey Cambridge. That movie is about a bigoted white guy (Cambridge) that suddenly wakes up one morning to find himself turned black.

I ain't wasting my money on White Chicks. Soul Man movie with C Thomas Howell sounds like Watermelon Man movie even though i've never heard of Watermelon Man movie. I couldn't believe C Thomas Howell felt like he had to paint his face black & look black to get accepted into Harvard University in the movie LOL. He even tried out for the basketball team in the movie & his teammates thought he could play cause he was black hahahahahahahahaha.

This movie looks pathetic.

The Wayans look so caked up that it destroys and sort of credibility in the belief that they could be taken for white girls.

Besides, they must be the most overhyped comedians ever.

They were never funny ever in my mind.
Just look at their TV show.

That's my favorite cross-dressing movie.

I think White Chicks looks funny.

I liked the Wayans Bros show but Marlon was funnier than Shawn. Shawn has always been corny. I think they both try too hard to make people laugh. Marlon was so funny in Above The Rim movie with 2Pac, Duane Martin, Bernie Mac. I like the part when Marlon, Duane, Wood Harris saw Leon playin at the basketball court by himself at night without a basketball. Marlon said to Duane, look at your man b, he's playin ball without a ball, he looks like he's auditioning for the twilight zone b, he better leave that sh*t alone whatever he messing with hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. That part was funny.

I don't think I'll see this- it looks funnier than most of the Wayans' films- but still, I'll wait and rent it. The Wayans Brothers rarely do anything good now- I think they should stop pairing up to do movies after this.

I never saw Juwanna Man, however, some good films with crossdressing (that I've seen- still haven't seen Tootsie- damn!) are:

Mrs Doubtfire

Nuns on the Run (saw it years ago, need to see it again sometime)

Victor/Victoria (well, it's kind of crossdressing- still haven't seen the end to this film!)

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert.

I found this article that gave White Chicks a good review.

I saw the movie today, it was ok. Not as good as Scarry Movie, but it was ok.

The movie does not make as much fun of white people as some people are saying. It makes more fun of rich people, but not white people in general.

Keenen does not make a cameo in this movie, like he did in Scarry Movie.

Also, the guy who plays the basketball player that hits on Marlon's character throughout the movie, I think also plays Vanessa's father on My Wife And Kids.

This movie looks funny. I was looking at some of the trailers and could not believe how these 2 guys looked. One was copying that Hilton gal.

Also, another casting note. I think the guy who plays the chief in the movie, also played the chief in National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1.

The guy who played their chief, his name is Frankie Faison. He's a good black actor. He's gonna be in the new movie The Cookout with Eve, Ja Rule, Queen Latifah, Danny Glover, Farrah Fawcett. TVJE u spelled scary wrong. It's with one r, not 2 r's. The basketball player you're talkin about that was hittin on Marlon, was he black? I'm thinkin about that black guy that Shawn went out with on the previews to dinner & Shawn put his foot on the table & he started biting his toenails hahahahahahahahahaha.

The basketball player was black. And I am very sure, that the actor that played him, also plays Vanessa's father on My Wife And Kids. I thought he was funny in the movie. But he was more funny on My Wife And Kids. That is a good show.

And that was Marlon that went out with the black guy, biting his toenails on the table, not Shawn.

That black guy that went out with Marlon in the movie when Marlon was biting his toenails at the dinner table, he played in Friday After Next movie with Ice Cube, Training Day, Deliver Us From Eva, Soul Plane, Malibu's Most Wanted. I read a article about him in black magazine King this month. He used to be a NFL player. I didn't know that. He got his first job as a actor in Friday After Next because he was a security guard on the set of Next Friday movie. His name is Terry Crews. I haven't seen White Chicks so i don't know if that's Vanessa's father from My Wife & Kids show. But i did see Vanessa's father in Cradle 2 The Grave movie with DMX & Jet Li. He was a security guard at this club that Anthony Anderson went to to pretend that he was a roach exterminator. Anthony talked to him outside the club to persuade him to let him check the club for roaches.

I went to see this movie today. I don't know about the rest of you, but I really enjoyed it. For once, I think I paid what the movie was worth. ($10.25  ) I was laughing hysterically all throughout. Thumbs up, definitely.

I give it a 9.8/10. :D

9.8/10? thats a score you give a movie like a Tom Hanks movie or Gone with the wind. White Chicks? Are you serious?

Tootsie is my all-time favorite movie, so I think no other 'cross-dressing' movie comes close, although Nuns On the Run is also one of my favorites.

I wouldn't pay $10.25 to see ANY movie, in NYC or anywhere else. I just wait until most of the movies come out on DVD anyway.

Well, since I'm not really a fan of the Wayans Brothers, I really have no desire to see this movie. The way they have them made up is kinda freaky looking to me.
