She used to live in NYC when she was younger, but she moved to Cali because her bro, Philip, was filming the sitcom, "Alice", and I think she's lived there ever since. Plus, the Divison is taped in Cali, so yeah.

Yeah, that's what it said in the "US" interview on her last year. Before that, she had a big home in Studio City, LA but she said it was to big for one person so she sold it.

I think Nancy sounds the same! She even looks the same! And laughs the same! Except in her first season on FOL- she talked kind of like she was real tough but then she didnt in the rest of the show. What does a NY and CA accent sound like? I don't know- I have never really noticed that. Did anyone watch her inatmint portriat on lifetime last tuesday?(11-12) I watched the end, i had already seen it before and she seems so nice and cool and she talks the same and laughs the same and looks the same- like I already said.

I dont believe it.... I was just thinking about her accent.... I watched an old taped episode of The Facts Of Life.... then I watched a Rerun of The Division from my tapes.... and she sounds completely different! When she was on the Facts Of Life her voice was so New Yorkish that I really thought Facts Of Life was taped in New York LMAO!! Her voice on the divsion you can hardly recognize her voice... its like scratchy and its californian accent...I dont know if she just trys to not use her New York accent on the divsion because her character on the division is suppose to be a San Francisco Native or what.... but I really loved her New York Accent!!!! :(((((

As far as accents go.... I'm a californian native.... and I sound different from everywhere else.... but I never heard of a definition for a californian accent being slow LOL but thats a pretty cool Def cause I talk slow compared to the east coast people... and i think everyone talks slow compared to the UK people LOL

I have a country accent, if ya'll heard me, you'd prolly laugh, just like i laugh at people with a NY accent, well, the ones that have it bad..

Well- I still think she sounds the same- on FOL she sounded alot tougher though, on TD she sounds the same- I mean of course she sounds the same- she is just like 20 years older. LOL- it is the same person- just keep that in mind. But, you want to hear the NY accent, watch her intamint protriat on liftime- she really sounds the same.

Yeah seriously.... I mean There realy isnt a "normal accent" I mean personally I think the west coast sounds different from the east coast and the mid west sounds different from everywhere else .... A New York Accent is...tongue twist-like...talking with gum in your mouth-like...and sometimes unclear. (Like instead of saying "did you eat?" you say "Djeet" )


A Califorian accent is usually more deep and clear and stuff..lol..that's the best difenition I can give...
