No way. If anything, stuff like "ppl", "u", and especially "lol", aren't used nearly enough. I'd like to see more bastardizations of the English language on the internet.

I also find it annoying. It also annoys me when people can't spell basic words right and use proper grammer.

I use LOL and ROFL and other things all the time, and don't have a problem, my problem is when the wut r u talkn about dat not annoyin ppl talk crap is used.

On message boards and stuff, I think you should use proper English. On AIM though or in chatrooms, I shorten 'you' to 'u' and 'probably' to 'probly'. I also dont use proper grammar in IMs and such, but whatever. I dont have the patience when Im talking to like, 74878923 people (or 2 -.-), and Im just used to it. Though I dont use some of the examples you guys posted (wud, ez, wut, etc...) thats just annoying.

Nah, I meant when people say lol every single time they breathe. Then it gets annoying. Also, the single most annoying this is 'u'. Jesus Christ, it takes like half a second to type out two more letters....it's not that hard people. :nonono:

The worst is when people do it.... but it doesn't mean they type less!!

It annoys me the most when I can't understand what the hell the person is writing.

I'm guilty of overusing "lol." I hated that term when I first found out what it meant, but then I started to use it to ward off people (not on this board) who were taking everything I typed literally...and I'm even guilty of having done that.

I absolutley hate that. My friends (actually I can't stand them) think they're so cool typing like that when it really makes them sound stupid.

I use those abbreviations when sending email to my friends or pm on here. but on the boards I don't use those abbreviations (except lol and a few other ones)

lol is okay once in a while, but sometimes it's just completely uncalled for.

EXAMPLE: "im goin to the store, lol." - and - "I just posted on 2 message boards, lol."

Shut up with the lols!

I really don't mind if someone says something like "hey i went 2 the mall for a lil while 2day and saw some ppl i knew" i jus h8 it wen iz impsosilbe 2 undastnda roflolziez!!!!!1 to tell you the truth i used to think i was the only one that was annoyed by it. it does kind of piss me off though when people directly make fun of others for typing like that when they've never talked to them before or anything. but yeah i like typing like that, it's fun.

I say that... only cos my friend's mom started it and I thought it was funny. So I say it.

my friend sami never used these abbreviations until i started using them. now she uses them like all the time.

Stuff like acronyms don't bother me (LOL, LMAO, etc). I use those all the time, but when it's really improper English and bad spelling that bothers me a lot!!

A little of it is ok. It's when people's whole vocabulary is that way, that is annoying.

Yeah...but it depends on the abbreviation. I type cuz instead of because a lot, so that doesn't annoy me. But ur for your bugs the crap out of me.
