We're having a problem with our water.. its leaving a blue ring at the bottom of our shower, and in the sink in the bathroom. Its a bright navy blue. I know reddish brown water means rust, but what about blue? We're almost certain its the blue paint thats somehow leaving a stain, because nothings happening in the kitchen sink- and neither are those walls blue. But we are almost certain its the wall paint, though we never see it drip or see another residues.

I thought this was going to be the same problem I had...but it isn't...I moved into this house in November...Whenever the weather is humid outside, it makes the house humid, and in the bathroom, it makes the toilet "sweat" and when it sweats, it drips blue water on to the floor...but that's because the previous owners used that thing for the toilet that makes the toilet water blue, and there's still some of that left over in the system, I guess....but that doesn't match the problem you're having. Like Chris said, I would definitely have it checked out ASAP, that doesn't sound good.

It could possibly be mold.

But we just built the new house-- its all new.. how could it be mold?

o0o0oooooo I just thought.. if it is in fact the water, all the whites would be stained blue when we do the laundry. Its gotta be the paint.
