In the S & S episode where they go to a TV show called, I think, "Steinberg and Son," where Fred and Lamont think that the show is based on them and so they get a lawyer to sue the producers. Anyway, my question is this: when you hear the supposed actors on the Steinberg and Son talk, why is it that it sounds like the sound track doesn't match up just exactly right???? It sounds like it's a voice-over or something. Did anybody else notice what I'm talking about? And, if so, can somebody explain why they sound like they do.

I had wondered that myself. It is especially evident when the friend - "Gabey" (patterned after Bubba) - speaks his lines.

Actually, "Gabey" was patterned after Grady, not Bubba (that one should've been obvious, Mooseface!!;) )

Personally, I enjoy these "meta" episodes, where the characters are often aware of their status as characters on a dramatic narrative...plus, for those of you wondering what a "White" version of "Sanford & Son" would be like, now you know...plus, I liked how the actor who played Stienberg mirrored Redd's own problems with the producers concerning his dressing room!
