I never cared much for Horshack. I'd rather watch a spinoff with Washington, Barbarino or Mr. Woodman. Giving Horshack a spinoff would have been like giving Ralph the Doorman a spinoff from the Jeffersons Bookman from Good Times Rob from What's Happening LOL Lady T 06-20-2004, 11:47 PM Originally posted by TVShow Analyzer Giving Horshack a spinoff would have been like giving Ralph the Doorman a spinoff from the Jeffersons Bookman from Good Times Rob from What's Happening LOL Jesus, that would be the most boring ass sitcom EVER! if the writers or the heads of CBS decided to give Ralph the Doorman a sitcom:rolleyes: nerrad 06-21-2004, 08:49 AM I guess that's why they were making him grown all of a sudden. Getting married and all. Tell me, during his "grown" years, was he still doing that laugh? Can't remember. The producers had to know you can't all of a sudden change a character who was a NERD to a Mature Man overnight because the viewers will not take that character seriously. catlover79 11-21-2007, 03:43 AM there almost a spinoff called-"HORSHACK". But the idea never got off the ground. Who the hell would have looked at that show? NOT ME!! puke: On the other hand, I would've watched an EPSTEIN spinoff for sure... tv star collector 11-21-2007, 08:50 AM That would have been like doing a SAVED BY THE BELL spinoff starring Screech(!). Can you imagine how grating that voice would be as the lead character in a show?? catlover79 11-21-2007, 01:06 PM That would have been like doing a SAVED BY THE BELL spinoff starring Screech(!). But there are a few people who might have watched it, especially if they made some minor changes to the chararcter. OH Nuts! 01-04-2008, 11:42 PM there almost a spinoff called-"HORSHACK". But the idea never got off the ground. Who the hell would have looked at that show? I would have watched it at least once out of curiousity. And if it was a bomb I'd give it one more chance. I agree with you, Horshack was not that strong of a character to build a show around. It probably would have flopped big time. Vinnie maybe would have worked. BeatleMoe 01-18-2008, 08:05 PM Part 2 of Whatever Happened to Arnold was the pilot to the series. Kotter and the Sweathogs only appear in the opening and closing scenes. TVFactFan 01-19-2008, 04:47 PM Part 2 of Whatever Happened to Arnold was the pilot to the series. Kotter and the Sweathogs only appear in the opening and closing scenes. I don't recall seeing that episode on TV land BeatleMoe 01-21-2008, 07:25 PM I recorded the episodes (most of them) from WPIX 11, which was an a la cart station on my Dish. The episodes ran uncut. This episode was about Horshack trying to get a job after his fifth stepfather died. The Sweathogs only appear before the opening theme song, and in the tag, Gabe only appearing in the opening segment as well. It was an okay episode, taking the viewer into Horshack's life, but other than that, nothing to recommend about it. Tammy 01-21-2008, 10:06 PM Aww, I love Horeshack and I think it would have been cool to see him with his own show. I would also have watched an Epstein spin-off, not sure about Freddie tho. And I think Barbarino's character was too stupid to survive on his own show :) treky 01-23-2008, 02:44 AM I would have watched it; sounds like it would've been good! Mr. Television 01-23-2008, 02:47 AM Yeah it's no way a charActer that weird would have grabbed the attention of viewers every week, what about Mork from Ork? treky 01-23-2008, 02:47 AM Giving Horshack a spinoff would have been like giving Ralph the Doorman a spinoff from the Jeffersons Bookman from Good Times Rob from What's Happening LOL well, I haven't seen any of those shows in years! Are all 3 of them still on TV LAND? treky 01-23-2008, 02:50 AM That would have been like doing a SAVED BY THE BELL spinoff starring Screech(!). Can you imagine how grating that voice would be as the lead character in a show?? no, I can't as I've never seen "SAVED BY THE BELL". Never even HEARD of it. TVFactFan 01-23-2008, 11:09 AM what about Mork from Ork? Never understood why he was popular-lol |
