I just noticed there is no board for this series. Wasn't it a sitcom? I saw only one episode of it from 1963 and it seemed like it would qualify as being a sitcom. It ran 15 years in one format or another which would make it the longest running sitcom with live performers in it.

It was actually part sitcom/ part variety show, but I agree with you that it should have a board. It's a funny show that needs to be revived.

The Jack Benny Program was a great show. I haven't seen it in so long. I think its a borderline sitcom but most people classify it as a variety show.
I Love Carol Burnett!

It was sometimes a sitcom, sometimes a variety show, & sometimes a combination of the two.
I have a LOT of his radio episodes on cassetes, I think the show's hilarious! In the 80s, when radio stations were playing a lot of the old radio shows (which theey stopped YEARS aago, sadly!:( :( )there was a station in our town which is no longer around (the staation, not the town:D ) that played his show, aand others, on weeeknights, aand I used to tape it aall the time, also I bought aa lot of tapes of ssomee of his shows aand I haave aa couple VHS taapess of his TV showss.

You can listen to this show on the following programs:
"When Radio Was" with Stan Freberg (from Radio Spirits. NOTE: The opening and closings of the "Jack Benny Show" was cut off except the Lucky Strike commercial was also cut because someone who doesn't smoke, I don't smoke too.)
"The Golden Age of Radio" with Max Schmid (from New York's WBAI)
"Radio Showtime" with Bill Eberle (from Poghkeepsie's WVKR)
"REN" (a 24-hour network replays of old time radio presented in streaming Itunes by the American Counsil for the Blind.)
