I have a feeling this summer is gonna stink.

Every month so far except April has had above average rainfall, with May almost breaking an all time record for any month...And theres already been 3.50 inches of rain this month. So the bugs are HORRIBLE this year, especially mosquitoes and other water born bugs. With all these rainy and cloudy periods it doesnt make for very nice days. Lots of severe weather too...

An active severe weather season makes for a very cool and cloudy summer.

It doesnt look like a very warm start to summer, so I hope it isnt a taste of things to come. Summer will start off 5-10 degrees below average (81F is average) and it looks like the pattern may be long lived.

Very squally. Monday was really bad. It rained pretty much all day. I'm not talking about light rain either, this was torrential wind-swept rain. It was great to see. In between the breaks I got out on the beach and the waves were too fun(our condo was about 100 yards from the water, so it was too convienent). Sunday Night was the first squall just after dark, wasn't too bad. Tuesday had a few squalls early, but the afternoon featured the sun. Had some bad wind with a squall around Daybreak Tuesday.

Cool. Sounds like you had a fun trip. :) I'm not going too far from where I live - Wildwood, NJ. It's one of the better New Jersey beaches, since it's at the southern tip of the state. The ones further north are kind of gross.
