I'm still in shock here. My mom is pregnant! Me and my sister found out Monday in Florida. I waited til today to post because my grandparents didn't even find out til now. It's due in either October or November. Don't know what it is yet, but we may find out tomorrow morning when we see it on the ultrasound. My dad is 41 and my mom will be 35 by the time the baby is here. I'll be 16 and my sister 11 next month.

wow that'll be a pretty big age gap between you two. That should be fun though. I've always wanted my parents to have a kid after me but it was never possible.

Cool, Brent. My best wishes to you and your family.

That has to be a weird (but exciting) feeling, though - you're almost in college and you have another sibling on the way.

Since you'll be old enough, it's your duty to spoil that kid rotten once he/she becomes a toddler.

I was 15 when my youngest brother was born. My older brother was 17. My baby brother(who is 39 now is very special to me) has always been very special! I know it might seem kind of weird to you but 35 is not old! My Mom was 38 when he was born!(He was her 7th!
) :D Not so unusual!:happyface I personally think that it is great ! Enjoy !(I love babies!)

Haha, yeah. It's so weird. I still think I'm a dream whenever I think about it. It's just hard to believe.

Penny, I don't think 35 is old either. That's how old I'll be when the baby turns 19. Gosh...

That's awesome!! Congrats to you and your family! :)

I had a dream Saturday night that my mother had another baby. I woke up in a cold sweat. My family of 4 cannot handle another kid!

That's awesome, Brent. I had sort of wished I could have another sibling when I was older. (my only sibling--my sister and I are 9 years apart.) My mom was 3 days from turning 35 when my sister was born, and my dad was 35. Just a couple weeks ago my dad's sister announced she was going to have another baby--her 6th! She'll be 45 when the baby is born and their oldest siblings will be 22 and 19. So compared to them, your family's age differences don't seem as big. But I think when families have babies a while after they've had their other kids it's cool.

Wow, congrats Brett!

I have many years between myself and my 3 half-siblings. My dad is years older than my mom (they separated in 1996/1997) and he had 3 kids before he met my mom and they had me, LOL, so I know the huge age difference. My oldest half-sister has 4 kids who are all OLDER than me, LOL, well, except her youngest who is my age. It's kind of weird, but fun at the same time to be considered the baby. My younger sister, who I'm closer to, has two kids, 12 and 13. And I also have an older half-brother. I've always been kind of close to them, we all live in Florida, but it's just hard to have that sibling relationship when there are years apart. The youngest half-sister turned 40 so there is quite a bit of an age difference, lol, but we're pretty close.

Congats!

I always wished I had a sister but all I have is an older brother who I can't stand plus my parents have been separated for 4 years now and their divorce will be final in a few months.

Even if they were still together it wouldn't be possible 3 years ago my mom had a severe uterine bleeding problem and had to have a hysterectomy.

:D Congrats Brent...I wish I could have a little brother or sister, but my parents were old when they had me, so that's kinda impossible.

Aww, congratulations. My friend's mom is pregnant and when the baby is born she'll be 16 1/2 and her sister will be 13...big age gap...but they're happy

Congratulations, really, think about it, they'll be having the baby now and since you're older you really can appreciate it. Sure, you'll have more work on your part...but my youngest sister was born when I was 5...I really never got to appreciate it that much...I don't even remember most of it. Anyways, I'm really really happy for you :)

That's great news Brent. The age difference is no big deal. I was the youngest of three girls, and my mother had my brother when I was 12, and we're nuts over each other.

Keep us posted on how your Mom is doing over the months. Pregnant all summer is a tough thing.

Congrats! I sometimes wish my parents would have more kids after me, but early enough where I'm not 10 years old than the kid! Now it's too late because my mom had a hysterectomy. Even if she could have kids, if she got pregnant now when the baby was born there would be 21 years between us!

Billy assuming it's a boy.

Janna in the unlikely event it's a girl.

That's really wonderful. Congratulations to you and your family. I'm two years older than my sister and eight years older than my brother - I've always gotten along better with my bro because of the age difference :) We were never in each other's hair or anything - not like how my sister and I always fought about being in the same school, sharing the same car, etc. Enjoy your new sibling. Your life will never be the same.

My sister was. The difference here is that this was scheduled ahead of time. My sister was three weeks early. Mom's blood pressure was high so they had to take her. I was on time :biglove: and came out the right way. :)

Yea, I have a cousin who has 10 kids. 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 9, 8, 7 4, and 1. That's a lot of work for one woman. I didn't say anything, but I kept thinking "Christ woman, use a condom!!" I wouldn't say anything like that to her. Don't want to offend her or anything. But everyone on my dads side of the family is way older. My dad was born 20 years after his oldest brother. It's not like she's my age...obviously if her oldest is 16. She's in her early 40s now.
