View Full Version : I Have Orange Hair!!!!!!!!! Help!
Kay Scarpetta 06-17-2004, 01:54 PM You guys, I really screwed myself this time.
I had dark red hair. I wanted a change, so I decided to lighten it up and put some pink streaks in it. I decided to bleach it myself. My mother told me not to. But I INSISTED on doing it myself.
My roots are platinum and the rest is orange! I think I'm just going to end up dying it dark... to cover it up. I don't want to pay my hair dresser $50 to fix it. I don't HAVE $50! My mom is going to FREAK. She's not even home from work yet.
Has anything like this ever happened to you or anyone you know? How did they fix it?
Babes_Cat 06-17-2004, 02:30 PM ... i told you soooo, never bleach your hair. shouldnt you have learned that by now? :p
Rhiannon 06-17-2004, 02:33 PM I did mine myself last night. I bought a medium brown kit, but it turned out black.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 06-17-2004, 02:34 PM The thread title reminds me of Greg Brady -.- "Tomorrows graduation... and.. I HAVE ORANGE HAIR!!''
Aanyways, yes dahling, bleach = bad. But umm.. buy a hair dye and cover it up. Whether it be blonde or dark brown. But not red. Oy O_O. As for Greg.. his mother took him to the beauty shop to get it fixed. Good luck hun!

On the back of the box, it tells you what color your hair will actually turn out according to your shade. I have dark brown hair, so if I were to dye it a blonde, itd come out light brown.. but if a dirty blonde person bought the same one, theres would be blonde.

Kay Scarpetta 06-17-2004, 03:03 PM Okay. My mom is taking me to CVS to get some dye. I think I'm just going to dye it black.

You can find mine in my profile.
You really shouldn't be asking everyone that. Some people aren't going to give out personal info.
Cashodeen 06-17-2004, 03:53 PM Here's my two cents: Unless you're a beauty school grad, you probably don't want to do a "corrective dye job" on your own, even if you are usually good at regular dye jobs. I would get it professionally fixed.
If you do decide to dye it on your own, I hope it turns out okay. Good luck.

GAH I love black hair. I'm pale to begin with, but this makes me look even more pale. Top that off with black eyeliner and I'm overjoyed.

One year, my sis dyed her hair dark brown (It was SUPPOSED to be dark brown) but it came out black instead...it was actually pretty cool...because my sis looked like she was a Hawaiian model...(she had tan skin when she did this) :D

 thanks. I've dyed my hair WAY too many times.
Penny Lane 06-17-2004, 07:36 PM That happened to me. There is so much rust in my water that my hair turned orange when I first stripped it out. What I did was pour Whink Rust Remover on my hair. That took it out! I was scared to do that at first but it did not harm my hair. Now, weekly, I mix a packet of lemonade Koolaid to my shampoo and it gets rid of any rust in my hair. It works great! My water is really rusty so I do this once a week to keep the rust from building up. It works! :D
ABlairican Pie 06-17-2004, 09:23 PM What is THIS that stands before me?
Figure in BLACK which points at me
Turn 'round quick and start to run
Find out I'm the chosen one
OOOOOHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek2:
 :guitar: :guitar:
As black as Ramona? I like that.
(Ramona is the name of my Schecter Diamond Series Devil Elite
electric guitar. So named because my PM supervisor channeled spirits through it and came up with the name.)
Moonlight Lady 06-17-2004, 09:31 PM Last year, I tried to frost my hair. It came out orange instead of blond. I had to wait a month before I could dye it brown, came out fine.

Ill have to tell Amanda because they have a lot of rust in their water and it makes her hair all greenish.
