The only one I can think of right now is The Munsters Today.

My picks for the two most unwatchable sitcoms in the 1980s are the following:

Married ... with Children
Three's Company

Granted, these comedies were also in the 1970s and 1990s.

I am not too wild about Designing Women either

it would be easier and faster to name one that was watcheable ( Family Ties ), the rest were ALL crap!!!

:lol: I didn't realize I already posted in this and that's exactly what I was going to say. I just don't like most 80s TV.

I find it funny that 80's TV is so universally hated, to me it's fun times. Definately sitcomwise, I like the 80's more than any other decade, even most of the 70's shows I love at least had some of its run in the 1980's (such as Alice, One Day At A Time, Happy Days, Mork, Laverne, Taxi....), even tho there were some exceptions, same with the 90's, some of my fave 90's sitcoms had their beginnings in the 80's (like Roseanne, Seinfeld, Murphy Brown)

I would take the 90's and today over the 80's in terms of hour long series, I really only liked Remington Steele and Simon And Simon in terms of 80's hour long dramas.

I think quality-wise, the 80s were the best for sitcoms, while there isn't an over abundance of them. The 70s and 90s definitely have more shows I like, but I like the ones from the 80s more.

I think hourlong series are at their very best right now.

Those were the first two shows that popped into my head when I read your question, but after seeing the other posts I'd have to replace Perfect Strangers with Designing Women.

If my life depended on it, I could PROBABLY sit through an episode of Perfect Strangers (but ONLY one episode). I couldn't do that with Designing Women. Any show that tries to pass off Rue McClannahan as a sex symbol... well, 'scuse me whilst I run to the store to pick up some barf bags...

But I totally agree with Bosom Buddies... and I love the way a lot of young Hollywood actors today are claiming that they never missed an episode of Bosom Buddies when they were growing up, hoping that Tom Hanks will hear them and be really impressed...

you're thinking The Golden Girls, but I like TGG infinately more than DW. Rue wasn't supposed to be a sex symbol in the Cindy Crawford vein, but in a "you can be over 50 and still have it" way, and I think a lot of older women looked up to her for that reason. The same applied to Kim Cattrall on Sex And The City, she wasn't supposed to be the bikini Playboy bunny babe, but a "she is almost 50 but yet she's still strong, confident and sexy" type of sexy.

The only other thing I remember seeing Bronson in was when he played "Serge", an Art Museum employee in the first "Beverly Hills Cop". He was funny in that one...

My two unwatchable shows in the 80's were
1) WWkrp Cincinatti- hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings but this is a waste of film. bad stories.
2)You can't do that on television-crude humor no laughs.
