What was that all about? Does anyone know how the script went? Why didn't they do it? (sorry if everyone already knows this :-)

It's been a while since I heard someone discuss this and might not have all my facts right. HOWEVER, I believe that the FOL in Italy script was written, but for some reason not used. I think it was converted into the FOL "DOWN UNDER" script that showed them all going to Australia. I could be wrong on this, but I remember reading it somewhere...

I read that the original plan was to have all the girls and Mrs. Garrett go to Italy where Mrs. Garrett ran into a past love. But Charlotte Rae left so they changed it to The Facts of Life Down Under, where Beverly Ann ran into a past love.

There was an Italy script?!?!?!?!

as some of u can see I went a little hotmail crazy. HEHE!

Another reason it wasn't used was due to some bad acts commited against Americans in Europe at the time it was written.

Geez, if that is true, they made a big 'ol mistake. Italy would've been so cooler than Australia. (I'm NOT knocking the Aussies-it's just that odds are the Italy plotline would've been alot more fascinating than the Bev-Andy-sheep-ranch-Tootie-on-raft-Blair-n-Jo-espionage-thing. (I did like,however, that Nat hooked up with a total hottie!)GO NAT!
