I was at the beach only for a few hours and I forgot to put lotion on my back. Nothing else burned, just my back, probably because it hasn't seen the sun in a while. I dont get why everything else would tan and not that. It hurts like hell to even sit.http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/attachment.php?s=&postid=1813547

Yeah, aloe vera helps. So does any kind of unscented moisturizer, like Vaseline (which usually contains aloe vera anyway).

If you dont have any aloe gel kicking around, take any kind of lotion and stick it in the freezer for a little bit, then slab it on.

Unless it has any scents or dyes. Then it might irritate your skin.

I had sunburn a couple of weeks ago.... the best suggestion I received (there is a topic on here- just surf through a few pages called "Sunburn advice" or something like that) was to use aloe vera gel - but put it in the refridgerator!!!

WORKS GREAT!

As I recall, when I was a child and I got bad sunburns, I took a cool shower and used Solarcaine (not sure if they still make that, anymore).

I have a bottle of Aloe Vera Gel. It is so cooling! You should be able to get it in any department store/ pharmacy.
