On Thursday, June 17th, my Happy Days dream will come true. I'm going to meet "Henry Winkler" in person at Milwaukee's Midwest Convention Center. He's there to talk about his struggle with his disability for the IndependenceFirst group. The session is called "Power Lunch." We will first listen to him speak, then have lunch with him, and finally he is going to have a book signing for his "Hank Zapper" books. I so excited! I can't wait until tomorrow!

It was so awesome! Henry was so nice, and he even remembered my graduation picture that my parents sent to him!

Ok, I got to the Midwest Center at 10:00am and we went down and got our name badges. Then at about 10:45am, my parents and I were sitting at a table when I looked up and there he was in the hallway. :faint: Of course, I got my camera ready and then went up to him. I introduced myself, and he stopped and looked at me like he knew me. I told him about the graduation picture, and then he remembered who I was! It was so cool!!! I got two pictures with him before hand, and he even gave me a kiss on the forehead.

His seminar that he gave yesterday was so inspiring. He talked about his past, and present, and his family and friends. Especially how his parents used to call him a "StummerHund" or in English a "Dumb Dog."

After the seminar he signed his 5 books about "Hank Zipzer," which is actually bits and pieces of Henry's childhood. And I also got some more pictures with him.

I think I'm somewhat still in shock that this even happen. But It DID!!! :woohoo: It may have cost me $40, but it was worth every penny!

I'm so glad one of us finally met 'the Fonz'! How cool! What's even cooler is that he remembered you from the graduation picture your parents sent him! I'm so happy for you!

Did you ask him stuff about Happy Days or did you just meet and talk about other stuff?

We weren't allowed to talk about "Happy Days" at the seminar, because Henry informed everyone that that day was about Children with disabilities and not about him.
