View Full Version : video clip of Freddie
imaillusion 06-16-2004, 02:04 AM I found a video clip of Freddie introducing a comic.
Freddie is in the begining and at the end of the clip.
I watched the intro and the end with Freddie.I fastforwarded the comedian that he introduced to watch only the parts that Freddie was in.To view the clip I had to install quicktime.
If anyone wants to see this just go to the site and click on the paragraph that has Freddie's name in it.
This is the site;
Freddie clip (http://www.timthomerson.com/ontheair/)
victorianscribe 06-16-2004, 10:05 AM Thank you for posting the link! I even pushed aside my fear of downloading new programs and downloaded Quick Time for this. What a treasure.
I had trouble viewing it It kept stopping throughout the introduction and i never did get to the spot at the end that shows Freddie, any suggestions?
if anyone has this on video i would gladly pay for a copy.
Cheryl Harrell 06-17-2004, 11:29 AM Aack! I can't get it to come up for me & play the clip... :(
kathy59 06-17-2004, 02:35 PM Thanks for the link, imaillusion! I remember that special so well; way before I had a VCR! I did take pictures off the screen but of course they didn't turn out very well. The Tim Thomerson "Stagecoach" sketch is hysterical (even though it's a bit raunchy!). Thanks again, and welcome to the boards! Kathy:wave:

Cheryl, did you click on the very last clip that was listed? The very last one is higher resolution.
Joy you might have to do the same thing.
imaillusion 06-17-2004, 04:14 PM Kathy59,you are very welcome for the clip.
Thank you for the welcome.
Luckymama58 06-17-2004, 05:01 PM I had to uninstall an earlier version on quicktime and re install the latest version that handles mp4's, but it was well worth it.
BTW ladies, for those of you who have 56K slomodems (like I do) you do have to wait a while for the whole clip to load in to catch the ending (alas, life it the country!)
It took an hour for the whole thing to download on my computer, but it was worth it!
hue_mee 06-17-2004, 07:17 PM I had to reinstall quicktime and I have roadrunner. OMG Ladies Freddie is so sexy! WOW
Cheryl Harrell 06-18-2004, 04:05 AM I still can't get it to work. I wonder what I am doing wrong. What do you have to do to bring it up? I am on 56k. Can I envy those of you on cable net lol!

Luckymama58 06-18-2004, 05:55 AM Cheryl and imaillusion,
Just a note about quicktime.... I uninstalled my old version of quicktime and went to the timthomerson site to install the new version, when the link on that page sent me to the quicktime site, the download wouldn't start.... I dunno if the 56K modem was to blame or this 4 year old computer..... so I had to go to download.com and click on the player section under Audio and Video..... the Quick Time free download is third from the bottom of the page. You MUST save the file to a place you can find it later.... I usually put it in my documents so I can find it there. Once the file has downloaded... and it will take about 45 minutes on a 56K, you then have to go to where you put the file and double click on it, this will then automatically help you to install it.
Another note, when you go to the timtomerson site, you can open both files, but the larger second one has jumps in it, owing to the slower download speed. The smaller first one is better for us dinosaurs...... and even the smaller one took close to an hour to completely download.... you have to have the patience of JOB! LOL But it was definitely worth the wait. Just put the player on pause and go play cards or something and when it is finished (the play bar will be all gray instead of white) then you can enjoy it all. Freddie is at the beginning and at the end.
I helped Macca do what I did last night, fortunately for her, she has cable speed.... so her downloads were a couple of minutes instead of an hour..... sigh for me :( Like I said before, the price I pay for living in my nice new house in the peace and quiet of my woods......
Cheryl, I hope this helps.... if not, IM me on Yahoo if you can, I have the same screen name over there as I do here, and I will walk you through it like I did Macca last night.
Cheryl Harrell 06-18-2004, 06:41 PM Thanks for the info! Do I open up the QUICKTIME player first before opening up the page? That's what I've been doing or do I need to download a new QUICKTIME player? Thanks! :)
imaillusion 06-18-2004, 06:55 PM Quicktime needs to installed. If you have the older version, you need to un-install it and get the new version. Then you can run the clip.
