View Full Version : Nancy Reagan in Different Strokes!
Janet&Jack 06-15-2004, 10:41 PM In light of the very sad passing of our Dear President Reagan, I remember when the First Lady Nancy Reagan made a very Special appearance as herself on the show! I was 7 when the episode originally aired but don't remember much about the episode but do remember feeling how Cool it was that the First Lady was on one of my Favorite Shows!
Please share your thoughts on this particular episode!
hawaii five-o 06-16-2004, 09:12 PM Arnold got to say, "Whatcha talkin' about, Mrs. Reagan???"
By the way, Nancy wasn't that great of an actress, judging by this episode and her old movies.
I heard that she memorized her lines for the episode, she wasn't reading off a teleprompter.

hawaii five-o 06-17-2004, 09:26 PM I don't mean to be rude, but was Dana Plato on drugs when that picture was taken??? If she was, it would be a little ironic.
Golden GirlJamie 01-12-2005, 06:02 PM I LOVE the Reagans! Is this episode out on video?
dummytree 06-29-2005, 07:05 AM On E! True Stories-Diff'rent Strokes, there is footage from what seems to be a media rehearsal of that episode. The cast plays a scene and you can hear photos being taken and all that. What a mess it must have been.

I Have that TV Guide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
seventies_sitcoms 07-04-2005, 07:05 PM Nancy was out doing her "Just Say No" campaign and she was popping pills herself at the same time I believe.

How very sad.
Brian Damage 07-17-2005, 08:25 PM I personally found the episode a tad far fetched. Mrs. Regan asked the class, "Who here experimented with drugs?" and half the class raised their hands. Wasn't Arnold in the 5th grade at the time? I think it would've been more believable if they asked Willis' class in high school.
