I heard today that Jennifer Lopez and new hubby Marc Anthony are going to work on a film together.....

stop right there. Does J. Lo forget what happened the last time she made a movie with who she was then-currently romantically linked with?

She can say "it's different", but it's not... because Madonna flopped out both times with different husbands, if anything, the second time (Swept Away with husband Guy Ritchie) was even worse than the first (Shanghai Surprise with first husband Sean Penn)

Oh, dear. Unless it's a musical with very little dialogue and almost no acting (and interacting) required... No, not even that would be good.

I'm just sad.

Let's get back to this thread in January 2005 and see if Lopez and Anthony are still married.

Let the bets begin.

It was in the paper that for fun some bookies started up a bet, as to whether Jennifer could top Elizabeth Taylors 8 times up the aisle, or whether she could top Taylor's 7 husbands. I'll try find the odds.

That sounds like a fun bet- but you'd have to wait a long time to see if you've won (unless she continually marries and divorces in very short periods of time- even then it'll be at least 4 days till you've found out if you've won!)

lol, J. Lo is a better actress than she is a singer.

Methinks if she wasn't a celebrity, had she tried persuing singing, she'd have gone straight to WB's Superstar USA, lol

Sadly, that's true. Now that I think about it, I recall she did a surprisingly competent job in The Cell and Maid in Manhattan, but Gigli was just so wrong on so many levels, and I mainly blame the "Benifer" beast for that.

I'm trying to think of some films in which real-life couples had good on-screen chemistry, but nothing is leaping to mind...
