View Full Version : In the Episode-Michael's Decision in season 6, Michael stated that it was too many
TVFactFan 06-14-2004, 10:50 PM people living in the apartment and that he needed to move out. At that time, it was
Florida
J.J
Thelma
Keith
If i recall, wasn't that the same amount of People from seasons 1-3?
James
Florida
J.J
Thelma
What the hell was Michael talking about?-LOL
vashti1999 06-15-2004, 12:19 AM He was a younger kid in the first three seasons. By season 6, everyone was grown. It probably felt more like a bunch of roomates living in the apartment as opposed to a family.
jamesanthony 06-15-2004, 04:46 PM Plus he was still on the sofabed with JJ at age 17 or 18 and had absolutely no privacy. If I were him I'd be itching to get out of there too.

Here was the part of the episode that was confusing. Michael had stated earlier in the episode that he and Cindy was not romantically involved but when Cindy's parents said they would visit the apartment a lot, Michael said he doesn;t want to move in because he couldn;t take Cindy's parents coming to the apartment all the time. If he and Cindy were not together, why would it matter?-LOL

Those people were irritating. They would get on my nerves too. Didn't one or both of them keep insinuating that Michael and Cindy were having sex? Who needs that kind of annoyance? Wasn't the father played by the guy who played Simpson on Gimme A Break?

Yeah he was from Gimmie a Break. I kept saying what show did I see him on?
nerrad 06-16-2004, 09:11 AM They had me cracking up with their slang. I guess they felt it was the only way to relate to black people.
faraj 07-07-2004, 04:45 PM Yeah he was from Gimmie a Break. I kept saying what show did I see him on?
Yeah, Howard Morton. I see him on various TV sitcoms.
JREwingBlackmail 07-09-2004, 10:00 AM Maybe since Bookman kept hanging around in the later seasons it just seemed like it was that much more crowded. And insted of Willona all the time it turned into the Willona and Penny show.
I would have been outta there like Vladamere!!

That's exactly what it was-The Willona and Penny show which is why season 5 DVD should be sold at a stand on the street-LOL

If it is, I know two people who'll definitely buy it.

Who?

Who?
Actually, 4 people: me, Edster2973, Brian Damage and laneyday all said in other threads that we would buy all 6 seasons on dvd.
magellan 07-15-2004, 03:13 PM The REAL question is, in season 5, why would Michael and JJ share the sofa, when Florida's room was available? I distinctly remember at least one ep where the brothers were sleeping on the sofa while Flo was in Arizona. Anybody care to explain?
Love it to death, but the more I analyze this series, the more holes in consistency and logic I notice.

Yeah it was odd, in the episode "Thelma Moves Out", Thelma comes home and her boyfriend discovers Michael and J.J on the couch.
storrs19 07-17-2004, 10:56 PM Maybe Willona & Penny slept in Florida's room, since they were there more than in their own apartment

Actually, those boys slept in their sofa bed because Penny slept in Florida's room. They were babysitting her.

Michael or J.J could have slept in Thlema's room until she arrived home
nerrad 07-19-2004, 09:30 AM Like JJ said, "I'm used to sleeping next to Michael". I guess that explains it, LOL.
hatwink 09-02-2005, 01:28 PM He should have moved out anyway, the way Florida was acting.
TVFactFan 09-02-2005, 01:38 PM I forgot when he was supposed to be living after the final episode. I think he told keith that he was going to live on a community college campus-lol
hatwink 09-02-2005, 02:05 PM Maybe it was code for his boyfriend.
