I read somewhere that Kim Fields did not
want to be called "Tootie" in the movie,
is this true? If so, why did almost everyone still call her "Tootie"? I know
old habits are hard to break but if she
didn't want to be called Tootie, then
why did they? Don't get wrong, I'm glad
they did call her "Tootie", I was just
curious!

Omg I was thinking the same thing. I didn't like her being called "Dorathy" http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

I didn't like her being called Dorothy
either. When someone called her by that
name I was thinking to myself "who the
hell is Dorothy"? I had to keep reminding
myself Tootie is Dorothy. That, and I kept looking around for someone named
Dorothy. LOL

Although I am more used to the name Tootie, her being called Dorothy doesn't really bother me. Most of you will probably disagree with me, but I kind of would feel funny being called 'Tootie' as a grown adult..if you know what I mean, lol. A kid is okay, though. I don't blame Kim though.

Would you want to be over 30 and called "Tootie"?! I'm over 30 and I wouldn't. Besides they turned it into a fun inside joke. Not to mention that the writer's would have to 'remind' the viewing public who it was. If you had known someone for 20 years and suddenly had to change from an old nickname it would be difficult.
