I need an actual job though... ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 06-14-2004, 08:48 PM Shaws (www.shaws.com) <3333 Small Wonderian 06-14-2004, 08:54 PM United States Air Force -- Communications-Computer Systems Operations Apprentice patriot: vashti1999 06-14-2004, 08:54 PM I work for an outsourcing company, Oce Business Services. I'm working in Long Island New York, but my company handles clients throughout the country, let alone NYC. Janice 06-14-2004, 08:57 PM I was a media consultant, but quit my job three year's ago when both my parents took ill. They passed away two year's ago, leaving me a sizable inheritance. I paid off the mortgage on my home which gives me security. My husband makes a good living too. Long story short...I'm unemployed by choice. I'll return to work when I'm ready. We are also thinking of moving to the next state, so I'm thinking of waiting to work. I worked for 20 years straight out of college, but this unemployment gig agrees with me. Mr. Stefani 06-14-2004, 09:01 PM As of now I enjoy mooching off my mother as a source of income:) But in July I start work at a day camp and Best Buy:o AnaheimPMWitch 06-14-2004, 09:14 PM I"m a Preschool teacher vienna waits 06-14-2004, 09:16 PM book shelver at the library *ShortCake* 06-14-2004, 09:29 PM administrative assistant. I work for my dad he's a stock broker, but I am going to go back to school for court reporting when I get well again. M82A1 06-14-2004, 09:35 PM I quit my job almost 2 weeks ago. I worked at Fresh Express. They make salads for Wendy's, produce the lettuce for Taco Bell, box lemons for McDonalds, box green peppers for Pizza Hut, etc. I quit because I worked with a bunch of jodidas ratas. They stuck me on the worst job on the line - packing the lettuce into the boxes. Imagine, bending over a bin of lettuce, picking up a 3lb bag, folding it, and cramming it into a box. Seems simple, right? Well, imagine you have 500 boxes to pack. And that's on a light day! One day we had 3,400 boxes to do. My back still hurts from doing that crap. I am going to miss those $200 checks every week. Oh well... Sargent Stewie 06-14-2004, 09:42 PM K-12 Student. :D I don't get paid. Warm & Fuzzy 06-14-2004, 10:04 PM I'm a K-12 student, too. I had a job working as a salesperson/security guard/cashier/stock person- all in one at a children's department store. I basically did what I wanted. Great job, but then I got fired. Well, more like the store went out of business and didn't need me any more. Now when I look back, I realized the wonders that that job did for me. It made me feel wanted, and accepted, and heck-- good for something! I was the baby and they all hadda love me. ;) I was just happy. After I got fired, my self-esteem, glee-- the whole enchalada just went down the drain. Now, look at me-- STILL unemployed. Depressed. Suffering from an array of disorders. What a mess! :livid: Kristina 06-14-2004, 10:08 PM i'm 17 and haven't had a job yet. besides, i get way too much diarrhea to hold a job. Dutabi84 06-14-2004, 11:10 PM I plaster swimming pools. I've been doing it for almost three years now. It sucks, but at least it's a job. phoebe7165 06-15-2004, 12:47 PM OK, I'll admit, I drive an 18-wheeler, over the road. Seriously. I don't tell alot of people because I know the general public doesn't look kindly upon truck drivers, due to the rudeness & discourtisiness of a few. I look at it this way, I make really good money, I get paid to see the country, I can bring my dog to work, and I don't see my boss for weeks on end. How many jobs can you say that about? Besides, if it weren't for the 1000's of men and women out here delivering products, we'd all be walking into a bunch of empty stores. My last 3 loads were frozen waffles, BBQ sauce, and Reese's Peanut Butter cups(800 cases of'em!). Who knows, I might have delivered product that you bought in the store!! And before anybody says anything, I get told all the time I don't "look like a truck driver". I don't smoke or drink coffee, like so many drivers do. Heck, I don't even like country music much. I'm more of a hard rock/heavy metal chick. EmoJoe 06-15-2004, 12:49 PM I babysit! :D |
