Okay, I just had a quick question about amazon.com. I was wanting to order the The Simpsons Season 4 DVD off of Amazon since it's about $20 cheaper than the regular retail price, but I'm a little weary about giving out my credit card info. I was just wondering, how safe is amazon? Is it pretty secure where as my credit card number won't get out? I've never done online purchasing (I try to stay away from it) but this is just too good of a deal to pass up. And since I'm going to have to start paying rent and buying gas, groceries, architecture supplies, etc., next year, I really need to watch how I spend my money.

*SLAP* How dare you not listen to me the first time. *SLAP*
Amazon, like Ebay are big and secure sites, so I really dont think youd have any problems. Did you read their security stuff though anyways?

I've never had a single problem with them and I don't know anyone who has. It's a good idea to call your credit card company on a regular basis to check your balance and to make sure nothing fishy is going on. That's what I do whenever I use my credit card.

Chris, I've never encountered a single problem with Amazon.com or any other companies, and I do a lot of online shopping.
Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes. I recently signed up with a company called StreetSmart. America's Most Wanted sponsors it.
For $60 a year, I'm notified if there is any activity on my social security number. If someone, including me, tries to take a credit card, loan, etc out in my name, I am notified both by phone and mail. It gives me peace of mind.

If you order through Amazon.com, please do it through one of my links. I get a 5-7.5% commission on referrals. Notice the "Purchase TV Shows on DVD" link at the top of the page. :)
Amazon.com is very safe to use, eBay can be a bit different since you are dealing with individuals.. but that's what makes their feedback system so important.
