What will you be watching this fall on the NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, UPN, and The WB??

I'll put together my list this evening, but I can say the new show I'm most looking forward to is ABC's Life As We Know It. It has to do with teenage boys and sex, but it'll feature the same writers who wrote for Freaks and Geeks, so I'm hoping it'll come close to being as good a series.

CBS- Everybody Loves Raymond
FOX- American Idol (although it doesnt come on until January)
ABC- nothing
UPN- nothing

And its going to be airing on Thursdays so it will probably have the same outcome as Freaks and Geeks. Then again ABC Doesn't have many good timeslots.
These are the new shows I'm going to try out.
ABC. Lost (probably won't be a hit but looks good), Savages,
CBS. Clubhouse, CSI:NY, Center Of The Universe,
NBC. LAX
WB. The Mountain
The other networks I don't plan on watching no new shows on . I might watch something on FOX if I see the show begin to take off. But I've been burned to much by that network.

New shows looking forward to:

Desperate Housewives (good reviews from everyone), Lost, Savages (this is being called the best new sitcom from critics), and Rodney (if it's like According to Jim). And the returning shows that I watch: 8 Simple Rules, Hope & Faith, According to Jim, George Lopez, and My Wife & Kids.

Most of my favorite shows are gone this year, but I do wanna see Desperate Houseviwes, cause Teri Hatcher is in it :)

Hmm, off the top of my head...

Savages (I'll give it a try), North Shore (technically summer, but still...), LAX (NBC), Desperate Housewives (ABC). I might tune in to Lost as well, and maybe OC spin-off Athens.

I'll still watch my other faves (American Dreams, 8 Simple Rules, Reba, Smallville, Gilmore Girls, 7th Heaven, Survivor, Apprentice, Less Than Perfect, The OC, Hope & Faith, etc.). Oh and DEFINITELY Arrested Development.

Their contract expires next year.... but there's no way in hell FOX is letting it go so soon. (i think they'll get a 4 year contract and stop at 20 seasons, just my personal guess)

Ok...so I'm responding to this a little late, but when I saw this post I HAD to chime in and ask...are you serious? Does anyone really think the Simpsons is ending soon?! So sad! I heard that a character is about to come out of the closet...so to me it seems like they're not at all winding down.

As for shows I'm planning on watching, of course...the Simpsons :) , but also the OC (although I was getting really annoyed last season with Marissa), Lost, definitely Scrubs, Desperate Housewives, and maybe Last Comic Standing.

The Amazing Race is far and away the most well crafted reality series. It's more like a documentary of a relay race than "elimination" series.

The Biggest Loser could have been a strong series as well, but then I found out that they vote each other off. If they had just set the rule "the person who looses the least amount of weight", it could have been a great series.

While Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is nice, it pulls too much on the sap card. Too wishy-washy IMO.

Survivor is my favorite reality show, but I won't deny that it really is nothing important. Still beats the pants off of any of FOX's reality offerings.

The Apprentice makes for a good show too. It's because it is more along the lines of "reality" than most other series. People really do compete for jobs.... and this is just one hell of a job interview.

JT
02-06-2005, 01:11 AM
I *love* FOX's reality shows. They don't take themselves too seriously, and that's more enjoyable than reality shows that try to be serious. I still can't believe NBC was trying to market Who Wants to Marry My Dad? as a love story...

The only shows on FOX I never liked are the relationship ones.

Besides the season premiere, the show is declining:

American Idol ratings are down 4% from last year in the lucrative 18-49 demographic. And they were down in five out of the six episodes that have aired so far this season—with the sharpest drops coming on Wednesdays against ABC freshman, Lost.
On Feb. 2, Idol was down 14% from the same slot in 2004.

JT -- how could you watch FOX's trash?? American Idol? Simple Life? Reality TV needs to go, right NOW!

I dont like most Reality TV, the only reality shows i like are The Apprentice and American Idol.

I know, it's hard to believe that CS's ratings are so much lower than the rest of the shows in the TGIF lineup

Yeah it was posted on the Complete Savages board :(

It's just my preference, OK? Everyone has one... you like sitcoms, I don't have an issue with you. Why do you have one with me?

I'm not saying you shouldn't watch it, I'm just saying that why have reality on TV, where the purpose of TV is to get away from reality?

And as for Complete Savages, it will be back for 4 weeks in March.

Thanks Pav, at least they're gonna air the rest of the episodes.

If they wait til June, that's the kiss of death.

Looks like production has ended, so once it airs in March, that's it, according to the Complete Savages board.
